About Jennifer

My husband and I have lived in Alaska most of our lives and are passionate about the state. I have worked as a travel adviser, tour director, kayak guide and instructor, bike guide, downhill ski instructor, and local guide. We live most of the year in Girdwood, a small ski town about 45 minutes away from Anchorage. We are happy to share our Alaskan experience with our guests to help make your stay as fulfilling as possible!

Jennifer purchased this house in 2013

Why Jennifer chose Anchorage

We bought this house to be close to our children's school in Anchorage during the winter. It is also two blocks away from my husband's work and close to everywhere we want to go in Anchorage.

What makes this house unique

We fell in love with this home's bright, airy feel, its large yard, and the proximity to our favorite trails in Anchorage. The warm, sunny front porch has turned into a favorite spot for outdoor meals.

Best family vacation house ever!

  • 5 of 5

Our family absolutely loved this house. It was so comfortable and welcoming, we felt at home immediately. With the comfortable beds, quiet location and blackout drapes, we all slept like we were at home. We made a few meals at home and found the best equipped kitchen I've ever seen in a vacation home. The washer and dryer were fabulous too. Super close to, restaurants, trails, airport, downtown and the HWY for day trips. Couldn't have had a better experience. Many Thanks for a fantastic family vacation!!!

Wonderful home close to town and trail system

  • 5 of 5

We had an incredible time at Jennifer's home. Our family spent several days there, as both a home base for daily excursions and a place to relax and cook. We had everything we needed: the comfortable living space, the kitchen and laundry accommodations, the front and backyard outdoor areas. We were close to town and the Seward Hwy to drive to Alyeska and beyond. The trail system into town is a block away. Fred Meyer's is around the corner. Wouldn't change a thing!

A must stay.

  • 5 of 5

This stay was just right. I was worried about that my group would need more space but it was perfect.

Love the lay out and love the decor.

It was very centralized to where we needed to be. was easy to find and very quit neighborhood.

It is a second level housing but the way it is set up it looks and feels like a 1 story house until you get to the back yard which was very nice.

very big yard and nice view.

Everything in the kitchen you need. We didn't have to buy codiments which was nice. so the ones we did buy we left to share with the next guest.

The bedding and beds were just right.

love the closet full of games and cards. nice for the kids. kept them off their phones.

I wish it was colder outside or else we would have taken some time to enjoy the fireplace.

Jennifer was wonderful to work with. She was very quick to respond when I had questions and very nice.

Thank you Jennifer for making our trip splendid!!!

We had everything we needed and then some. My son in law is a chef and truly enjoyed Jennifer's Kitchen.

The bedrooms were spacious and wifi was well appreciated .

We traveled with a 3 year old and enjoyed the books and games .

Everyone in our party couldn't say enough wonderful things about this home and its owners!

We will definitely return.

Thank you Jennifer for your hospitality.

A wonderful place to stay and play

  • 5 of 5

This house made our Anchorage stay feel like home.

My husband and I traveled with 3 other families (8 total staying in the house + 3 little kiddos). It was much more spacious than the photo's reveal and was equipped with everything we needed and more. Every bit of the home was clean, fresh and well maintained with modern furnishings and appliances. The kitchen was stocked with everything one could need to prepare meals (including spices and condiments) and the other amenities (cable tv, internet, grill, washer/dryer, hairdryers, iron) were priceless too. The linens were soft and cozy, the backyard was huge, and the two decks were perfect for enjoying the long Alaskan summer nights. Each room included ample closet/hanging space and drawers for unloading suitcases.

Bonus: There was a binder of local eats and things to do and even a large array of toys, books and dvd's for the kids, which was a blessing. We arrived in the wee hours of the morning, went to bed and woke to find fresh coffee in the cupboard - as you can imagine, this was HUGE!

Jennifer was easy to reach and very hospitable in answering questions and meeting our needs. Her husband even took the time to stop by mid stay, to see if we needed anything. We 100% highly recommend this home - ENJOY
