Welcome to our newly remodeled mid-century modern home, in a wonderfully convenient location! There is easy access to the Seward Highway and the best Anchorage has to offer. We are mere minutes from downtown, and yet the house is still peaceful and serene. We are just a few blocks from the Chester Creek Greenbelt, which is great for walking, jogging, biking and cross-country skiing, and it can lead you to several local parks as well as the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail.

The large open kitchen and dining area make meal preparation a breeze. The BBQ on the back deck overlooks the spacious shared backyard, and your own sunny front porch with dining table and chairs offers Alaskan al fresco dining.

The spacious master bedroom has its own full bathroom, a king bed, and a wide dresser. The middle bedroom has one full bed and a drop-down desk. The "quilt room" has one king/ two twin beds. The back bedroom has both a queen and a twin bed, a tall dresser, a large desk, and TV.

For parties of 6 or less the home can be rented with 3 bedrooms for $325/ night, contact owner for details. With brand new flooring, carpet, and paint, this home is ready to be your oasis and launching pad for your Alaskan adventure!

About Jennifer

My husband and I have lived in Alaska most of our lives and are passionate about the state. I have worked as a travel adviser, tour director, kayak guide and instructor, bike guide, downhill ski instructor, and local guide. We live most of the year in Girdwood, a small ski town about 45 minutes away from Anchorage. We are happy to share our Alaskan experience with our guests to help make your stay as fulfilling as possible!

Why Jennifer chose North Star

We bought this house to be close to our children's school in Anchorage during the winter. It is also two blocks away from my husband's work and close to everywhere we want to go in Anchorage.

What makes this house unique

We fell in love with this home's bright, airy feel, its large yard, and the proximity to our favorite trails in Anchorage. The warm, sunny front porch has turned into a favorite spot for outdoor meals.

Lovely modern home conveniently located

This home was perfect for the needs of my family. We were traveling with three grown sons and they each were able to have their own rooms. Although it was always light outside ( early July) we were able to darken the bedrooms so sleeping was not a problem. The kitchen was outfitted with everything a person could need and the location as convenient to get to everything we wanted to see. If I ever return to Anchorage I would check to see if I could return to this place. Thanks Jennifer and Ken.
