The Stone Cottage was a perfect location for us. We spent 5 weeks there and there really wasn’t anything we needed that we didn’t have to have. The house is clean and nicely furnished and the kitchen had enough utensils to cook a meal. It is in a quiet and safe residential area. Outside of an occasional train, it’s very quiet at night. We had a few warm days during our stay and were able to walk into the downtown area. When it was cold or raining we drove although parking can be challenging at busy times. The neighborhood is nice for walking a dog and the neighbors are very friendly. The back yard was great for our dog. There was plenty of room for him to run around and it’s completely fenced in. The house is within walking distance of some of the Civil War sites and a short drive from others. It is also close to a number of other parks and the Natchez Trace. Depending on traffic, Nashville is about 30 to 50 minutes away, close enough for our daughter to visit from Belmont on a couple of weekends. Although we had very little interaction with Monica and Dave during our stay, they are available and respond quickly if you need to call them. We’re looking forward to visiting the Franklin area in the future and would definitely stay here again if the house is available.
Quiet and Relaxing
Great property! Home is in a quite neighborhood and was clean upon arrival. 1 mile from downtown Franklin and approx 25-30 mins from Nashville. Perfect! We had a fun family getaway and look forward to returning
GREAT LOCATION AND GREAT HOUSE!!!
Quiet and peaceful
My family and I spent Thanksgiving at the Stone Cottage. It was everything we expected and more. It is located in a very quiet neighborhood and has a large backyard that our dogs loved. The owners called to make sure we had arrived okay and to make sure that we had everything. To me, that speaks highly of them. We will definitely stay here again.
Great view, nice accommodations. The property was clean and in a quiet neighborhood. Not a lot of traffic and loud neighbors. Felt just like Home.
We really enjoyed our stay!!!
Cute and cozy!
We stayed with another couple for a weekend, wanted to be close to downtown. This was perfect, and has a great patio and green space as well. Relaxing place to have morning coffee. It has a well equipped kitchen, although we didn't cook much. It was clean, had everything we needed, even a nice selection of music cds! Nice eclectic decor. I would definitely stay here again.
