Located in a Historic District on the Slope above Downtown San Diego, this highly upgraded 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home is the guest house to a beautiful, historically designated Queen Ann Victorian building. No expense was spared in the design of this highly upgraded home which accommodates 6 guests. The living area features a high quality leather couch which opens up to a Queen size sofa bed, high ceilings, gorgeous hardwood floors, LED smart TV, dining table and chairs framed by multiple windows. The kitchen is beautifully designed with granite counters, accent cabinet lights, microwave, gas stove, refrigerator and everything you will need to cook complete meals during your stay with us. The bathroom is new has high ceilings and is equipped with plenty of quality plush towels. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a blow dryer are all provided. Both bedrooms feature Queen beds, mirrored closet wardrobe doors, LED Smart TVs, ceiling fans and air conditioners. All beds including the sofa-bed have memory foam mattresses which are very comfortable. All 3 TV’s have streaming capability and have access to Netflix free of charge. Wifi service is also provided free of charge. Additional items provided to our guests include beach chairs, beach towels, a boogie board, lighted make-up mirror, an iron and ironing board and a high chair for the little ones. A pack and play playpen and umbrella stroller are available upon request. The unit is beautifully decorated with furniture and drapes of modern classic design. The property is located 5 minutes driving distance to the Convention Center, Gas Lamp district, Ball Park, Coronado Island, the Airport, Balboa Park and the Zoo. Freeway access is located around the corner and bus stop transits to and from downtown are located within a block of the property and local beaches are within easy driving distance. Some of Golden Hill’s most popular spots such as the Turf Club, Panchitas Bakery, Krakatoa Coffee Shop, Luigi's Pizza and Golden Hill Park are within walking distance. Additional features in the common areas include a Barbecue Grill, Gazebo with table and chairs and a Fire Pit with wood provided. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee and city views from the patio table and chairs provided on the front porch. Grill your favorite foods on a gourmet barbecue and relax with dinner under a lighted Gazebo. Instant Booking - Our Guest House has 2 Bedrooms with Queen Size beds in each room. There is an additional Queen size leather pull-out sofa bed in the living area. All of the beds including the sofa bed have memory foam mattresses and are very comfortable. While it has been designed to accommodate 6 adults, it could be a bit challenging if they are all adults. We want to ensure this arrangement will comfortably accommodate your group.

About John Reardon
I grew up in Northampton Massachusetts, a town with countless beautiful old homes and lots of woods. I spent countless days in my youth building tree forts never knowing that those 2 dynamics would intersect at this point. Upon arriving in San Diego with an interest in building and purchasing real estate, I became immediately interested in the largely neglected Victorian buildings in this area of town. This property became a labor of love for me many years ago and I hope that legacy will be carried forward by my 3 sons. My wife if Japanese, so our family often divides our time between 2 very different worlds, both with much to offer.

Perfect Place to Perch
This adorable guest house was perfect for our family while visiting beautiful San Diego. It is well appointed with everything one needs- comfy beds, great kitchen and bath, and decorated beautifully.
This Market St. gem is not far from all the wonderful things San Diego
has to offer and yet safe and quaint. I would go back to stay.

We really loved the house. While compact it had plenty of room for our group of three. The owner kept us informed of the property, provided good checkin instructions, and followed up to make sure all was well. Being my first time in the San Diego, I was concerned about the proximity of the places we’ve wanted to see, but Uber was an easy solution, most rides cost less than $10: about $14 to the airport. There are a fairly large number of homeless people in the area but ther was no problem whatsoever. When I return to San Diego, this will be my first choice.

We had a great stay here. Netflix and multiple tvs made our stay even better.
Clean and comfortable
The place fit us perfectly and was very clean and comfortable. The owners and staff were very quick to take care of anything we needed.
A good value
A nice though small guest house that has everything necessary for 4-6 people; newish and clean. The neighborhood is a bit noisy and a bit marginal, but this is reflected in the price. The location is conveniently central for most tourist attractions, especially Balboa Park. Small improvements would be blinds that aren’t fragile and the usual rental house book of instructions with suggestions of stores, etc in the neighborhood.
Our Vacation Rental property is located on the slope above dynamic Downtown San Diego. Restaurants and bars of every conceivable type, shopping, theaters, the library, the International Airport, Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Coronado Island, Beaches, Public Transportation and multiple Freeways are all very close and easily accessible.
