Cozy Pet Friendly Cabin! - 2 blocks from Bear Mountain in Southern California

(Please note we received some feedback that our check in company is charging a huge fee for pet issues, we apologize and are correcting this. Pets of course are allowed on furniture, we have two dogs ourselves and we have rented to guests with pets for years and never once charged anyone a fine)

Cozy cabin in the woods on Bear mountain just 2 blocks to skiing or mountain biking. Walk to the hill and ski down. Also close to hiking trails. Large deck with grill and nice outdoor space. Private location and a large deck. Cabin has beautiful stone fireplace, log beds, Netflix tv and high speed wifi. Sleeps 4 adults and extra young children are ok. Master bedroom has double bed, second bedroom has double bunkbed, sofa bed also available in living room. Bathroom is through the master. Great little cabin for a family trip to Big Bear. Short drive to lake and downtown. Pets are considered upon request. My family and I stayed for three nights and it was a pleasant stay. The cabin is in a nice area, and not far from anything. It has everything you’ll need. The check in process was somewhat good, but if you plan on choosing this place then keep in mind that you’ll have to go to an office in town to receive the code to the cabin. This was something new for us, so it was an inconvenience since other places that we’ve stayed at before did not require this. Besides that, it’s a clean and comfortable stay.

What a great getaway! Love the location, cabin was clean and cozy, and the host was quick to respond with a question when I told him I couldn't arrive until after regular hours. My kids and I had a great time, thank you! We will definitely be coming again!

Very cute cabin with everything we needed and everything was clean. Loved the layout and how cozy it felt. The back porch was even fenced off so my dog could go out there. It was within walking distance to Big Bear Mountain (about a 13 minute walk) which made snowboarding early very easy. We did have a problem with no hot water coming from the shower, but the owner was immediately responsive and had someone come out to fix it very quickly. Overall it was a great stay and very dog friendly.

Darn I am very sorry to hear that, I usually sleep like a log when I am up and I was just there to snowboard recently. I haven't heard from any other renters but I'll take another look and see if the mattress needs replacing. I hope the rest of your stay was better.

Poor communication Full refund received. Why? Walked in to a cabin looking occupied. Dishes in sink. Windows, cabinets and doors left open. Beds a mess. Blankets tossed. Tv on? So took pics and vacated. Took 4 hours from check in at 3rd party to get communication from anyone. After 62 minutes on customer service lines.. multiple supervisors Finally received full refund. Slept on futon at family’s in town.

I am extremely sorry you had to go through this, as I mentioned in my message and follow up text unfortunately several things went wrong and this is definitely not the norm for us or how we do business. Our housekeeper misread the calendar and didn't realize it needed to be cleaned for that day, then as luck would have it I was over the ocean on an international flight right when everything was going down and my phone blew up as soon as I landed. In addition our check in service was confused about what to do in the situation and did not send a replacement cleaner. A lot of things broke down that night and I very sorry for the poor experience. Everyone is more aware now and I need to do a better job of making sure I have help when I am away from my phone. We make every effort to ensure our guests are happy and if you ever want to try again we will ensure you have a much better experience and will provide a discount.

Such a cozy stay! Jonathan was an amazing host super communicative and helpful. The cabin was adorable, quiet, and in a perfect walking distance to Big Bear Mountain. If you’re looking for the full cabin experience, I definitely recommend this spot. I’d absolutely stay here again!

This was exactly what I had in mind when thinking about staying in a cozy cabin in the woods! Very nice interior and very welcoming. The host was very responsive and gave greatly detailed instructions for everything. The only reason I won’t give it the fifth star is due to the shower having the water fluctuate a bit too often between cold and hot. Sinks had no issues maintaining hot water. Wonderful stay overall!

My wife and our family are Canadians living in San Diego and we bought this little place to have somewhere to go with the family to get away from the city and experience a bit of winter fun like skiing and sledding. We love heading up to Big Bear whenever we have a free weekend, its a great place to visit year round and has a lot of beautiful scenery and things to do.

Quiet cozy place up the mountain, great location for a quiet stay in the woods away from it all. Also walkable to Bear Mountain ski resort for skiing/snowboarding or mountain biking. Great place to relax year round.

The place is an easy walk to Bear Mountain for anyone wanting to ski, you can go back and forth or go home for lunch and it is convenient with small children. There is also a lot of mountain biking in the area during the summer months. The deck has a great view of the trees and is a relaxing place to kick back and relax.
