Beautiful Beyond Our Expectations. Einfach wunderbar
We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment. This tuscany style apartment is beautiful, newly renovated, very clean and is located in the historic district of Camaiore. It is very beautifully decorated. We instantly felt at home away from the mass tourism, and got to experience a real italian lifestyle. We could not have a chosen a better place for our vacation.
The free public parking lot is 100m away from the apartment. We always found an empty parking spot (we noticed the parking was mostly occupied between 6pm-8pm). In case public parking is full there is blue zone all around town for €1/hr from 8:00-20:00.
We stayed here with our 2 little children (under 3 ½ years), and they enjoyed it as well. There is a playground between the parking lot and the apartment. A super market is right next to the parking lot and is even opened Sundays.
The apartment is located in a no vehicle zone (pedestrian zone) but we had a buggy to carry things back and forth when needed. The place is on a higher floor which can be conveniently reached by an elevator. The front door is secured via video doorbell, secure door to the apartment and in general it is very safe.
At around 8pm the old town awakes to life and everywhere you can hear is Italian. There are numerous very nice places to dine (osteria, pizzeria, steak house, Pescara, Gelateria etc.) Is all within a couple Minutes walking distance (bakery and pharmacy as well). On weekend nights there were events ( Bazaar/ festivies etc. ) so it can be loud. But for us this was not a problem, we even went there. The old town calms down around midnight and at night you can have energizing sleep even with wide open windows. The combination of the tall rooms allows for comfortable climate even during the summer heat without utilization of an air condition. There is no WIFI in the apartment but we picked a 4G SIM card at a local store next to the park and had 20GB LTE at €30 valid three months. A laundry facility is located also about 100-150m away. Please note the apartment has charges for towels, bed linen and end-cleaning.
A drive to Lido di Camaiore/Marina di Pietrasanta beaches is about 10 – 15 Min. The beaches are really beautiful and great for kids. Free beaches are available (need to bring your own umbrella, towels etc.) Lucca is about 20 km away - highly recommended.There was never a boring moment at this place. There were plenty of things to do.We are definitely coming again
