more creepy than cozy
This property has a lot of the things that give you a true ‘cabin in mountains’ experience. The fragrant smell of smoke from the open fireplace as you first enter, the creaking of the floor boards as you walk about and the chewing of a small animal from under the kitchen cabinet in the quiet of the night. Ok the last one scared my daughters a little. Not a good stay for us.
For us it was the neighbor that was very off putting. She has some obvious mental issue and you will be staying VERY close to it. We first noticed her setting pine cones around her driveway and gesturing toward the sky as if asking them to take flight, seemed harmless. Then we see her waving a stick up the power pole, as if the power lines were taunting her, we would later see her in town doing the same thing. It got uncomfortable when we wanted to sit on the front porch and enjoy the warm afternoon. It was at this point she turned her attention to us. Her driveway is about 10 feet from the cabins front patio. We tried to ignore her, but she was standing in her drive way staring right at us, if we made eye contact she would quickly return to her pinecone project but soon would be staring again. I offered up a ‘hello’ to which she mumbled something and briskly walked away. She never audibly spoke to us, although she was clearly talking to someone. Not a very friendly environment!
Next would be the coffee maker, it took about 45 minutes to brew a half pot of coffee. Just when we thought it was done it would grumble back to life, NOPE, not done yet.
Please spend the $25 and replace that thing.
You should also know that this is or was a pet friendly cabin so pet hair will get on your cloths.
Lastly, and this is my pet-peeve, WiFi issues. This WiFi didn’t work at all. I could connect to the network, get an IP address but no connection to the outside world. Fix it or just turn it OFF.
Another fantastic stay at the Little Bear. The perfect size for 2. Very comfortable and quiet neighborhood. Looking forward to coming back again.
Cozy, clean, peaceful and well equipped!
We loved the overall feel of the cabin! It had everything we needed and the bed was warm and comfortable. The area was quiet and the property was very easy to find. Very close to great hiking trails and great food! We would stay here again in the future!
cutest little cabin! perfect for a family of four! dogs too!
everything was perfect! from the well equipped home, the fenced in backyard and the proximity to the slopes...we loved every inch! management is so easy to deal with and very professional.
We had great time stay in this lovely little cabin. Can't wait to come back in summer time!!
