Great Location to explore Bellagio and Como

We loved our time here. Great communication with the owners who greeted us on our arrival. Lovely outdoor aera overlooking the lake and close walking distance to San Giovanni and Bellagio. Loved exploring lake Como from our home away from home.

Beautiful views

What a wonderful location. A bit off a climb to beach but the views made up for it. We had an excellent time. Domi is a great host. Very accommodating. The place was very private even though there’s an apartment above us we felt very comfortable. Definitely recommend.

Staying in San Giovanni

The property was spacious and well located although it is up the hill from the village and some people might find the climb challenging! Domi was an amazing host who could not do enough to help us collecting us from the ferry and taking us to the supermarket to buy food.

Wonderful stay!

Domeneca and family were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Luca waited for us at agreed upon location in the rain to ensure that we found the property and brought up our luggage. Luca was very helpful and responsive to all questions throughout our stay. Beautiful private lawn overlooking lake. About 20 min walk to center of Bellagio. Overall very pleased!

Retreat in San Giovanni

A lovely place overlooking lake Como above the Hamlet of San Giovanni. Dome our host made us feel special providing some snacks and drinks for us, helping us with our luggage to get it all up the hill. And reserving a table for 2 for us at the local restaurant. Fond memories of Dome's place

Apartment has no flaws. Good Kitchen , Good Bedroom, Good Bathroom. Hosts Very Good 20-30 minute walk to whatever you could need, restaurants , grocery’s and Bellagio! Host quick to respond to messages, and very helpful.

Dear Gayel. You had a total of 5 towels available and used 3 of them (I don't understand why you say they were missing?) Between the 2 sofas there is a small table on the other side there is a low cabinet I always thought that was enough. For the temperature it was enough to turn on the heat pump. I always try to pamper my guests and I think I have shown it to you even when I promptly intervened, after your phone call announcing the theft of your car, but it had been forgotten by you the evening before, regularly parked in the center of Bellagio. Nonetheless, not even a thank you.

Beautiful Bellagio property

My husband and I stayed 3 nights in the top floor apt with the most gorgeous views of Lake Como. It was immaculately clean, bright, comfortable and well appointed. The online photos of the apt do not do it justice! Domi was a wonderful, warm host. She met us at the bottom of the drive (we arrived by car and parked in the roadside parking space) and helped us carry our bags up the rather steep path and oriented us to the area, grocery store and ferrys. So worth the climb!! Highly recommend this property. We hope to return someday and stay longer! Thank you so much Domi for making our stay in Bellagio so wonderful.

Lovely Place with Amazing Lake View

The view of the lake was far beyond our expectations. Domi was an amazing host. She picked us up from the ferri dock, and took us back the day we left. She also took us to the supermarket. The place was lovely, comfortable, clean, and very well taken care off. We had breakfast in the morning and drinks in the afternoon in a lovely garden area with gorgeous view. We highly recommend the place. It is a very steep walk from the street to the apartment which may be difficult for older guests or if you don’t have a car.

Excellent home and accommodations!

Domi is an excellent communicator. She met us at the ferry and took us by the grocery store. Domi booked reservations at a lovely local restaurant Sala Alessandro. Domi pointed out bus stops and had the time tables of the buses available for us as well. The house was lovely, stocked with coffee, breakfast, and a lovely bottle of Pino Grigio! The view was fantastic either in the backyard or sitting on the back deck. We liked to sit in the bedroom to enjoy the view out of the window. We asked her to take us to the ferry and she was willing. Such a gracious host. We appreciate Domi and the accommodations.

Disappointing

Our visit to Lake Como & Bellagio was wonderful, but our stay here was a disappointment. We booked the upstairs apartment with Domenica, and her son, Luca, three months in advance (when we had other attractive rental choices in the area), but we were given the downstairs unit upon arrival. Concerned about noise from above, we were told that upstairs guests would not arrive for two days. Still we heard noise as they cleaned and prepared, and apparently the room is used as a bachelor's pad between renters. The lower apartment is box-like and lacks a lake view unless you go out onto the lawn. We left early in the morning to sight-see, and came back late only to sleep. The rental is in a good location, has a handy washing machine inside, and was clean. There is no dishwasher, and you must park on the narrow roadside and hike up a steep cobblestone driveway which is challenging with luggage. We feel that Luca and Domenica were deceptive when they took our booking, and also when they told us the upper unit would be empty for two days giving us some privacy and quiet time. We have booked rental homes through VRBO for many years with satisfaction. This stay has been one of our rare rental disappointments. The Smith Family

We are sorry for the inconvenience in the allocation of the ground floor rather than the first floor apartment, (to which we were made aware with e-mail at 2:22 am even though you are arrived in the early afternoon ). Unfortunately the upper floor was already occupied from June 14 to June 20, 2015 by an American couple on their honeymoon. If it had been free we would of course have offered you this apartment. In our view, we do not believe there is anything misleading in the description on the website, this is testified by the positive reviews given by previous guests. We always welcome guests in the best possible way (as was done with you) helping with the luggage, offering all kinds of useful information, leaving fresh flowers in the apartment, water and a bottle of wine with no additional cost for final cleaning or other. Again we for any inconvenience caused best regards. Luca and Domenica

Wir fühlten uns wohl in dieser Umgebung. Ital. Feeling. Wir waren das erste mal hier.

Wetter mässig etwas wild, Regen und Sonne haben sich gewechselt. Etwas störend war das Hundegebell in der näheren Umgebung und manchmal die lauten Motorräder suf der Strasse. Das Gärtli ist sehr einladend.
