Love the Santa Fe style? Then Live it!

Casas de Guadalupe is a small enclave of lovingly restored historic adobe casitas. 12 casitas located just off of the plaza - we have one and two bedroom vacation rentals, each with a unique floor plan.

This 730 square foot vacation rental is one of our most sought after casitas. With two bedrooms and two baths it'll make a families vacation come true! The living area is separated from the kitchen by a count top bar, perfect for gatherings. It has all the authentic touches -- a kiva fireplace, saltillo tile, and hardwood floors. But it has also been skillfully updated to provide you with all the modern conveniences, including cable tv, laundry facilities, a full kitchen, air conditioning and complimentary high speed internet access. This casita boasts a large enclosed patio that is ideal for an outdoor evening on a mild summer night. We have complimentary parking so you can just park your car and walk to the plaza in minutes! Between the plaza and the brand new Railyard, you'll have plenty to do!

Casas de Guadalupe is a private compound of twelve luxury casitas. We can comfortably accommodate a honeymoon couple or a family reunion! If this casita is booked, we may have another casita available! Unfortunately, our calendar does not sink with VRBO so we have to manually update it. Don't hesitate to write and ask what we have available. We may be able to make some room for you and your guests! For more information, please see our website www.santa fe-vacationrentals.com

Please ask about our winter specials, which include rates as low as $99.00 per night! Perfect for our ski season!! We are only 20 minutes from the Ski area!

About Mary Ann Kaye

Hi! My name is Mary Ann and I'm the property manager for Casas de Guadalupe. My background was based on 20 years' experience in the hotel industry in Albuquerque. My brother in law, Doug and two of his friends purchased these properties, after Doug had lived on site. When I came out to Santa Fe to take a look at these casitas, I fell in love with them. 10 darling vacation rentals, all within the same complex, just off the plaza...what sales person could resist!! Come and experience the friendly people, the fantastic restaurants, museums and shops, and best of all the outdoor activities in and around Santa Fe!

Mary Ann Kaye purchased this house in 2007

Why Mary Ann Kaye chose Santa Fe

Doug - I actually lived in these casitas in 2005. Having lived in New Mexico for most of my life I found the life style in Santa Fe so different and unique. I fell in love with the city, the area and culture immediately! When I was given the opportunity to purchase these properties I jumped on it!

What makes this house unique

This property is located just off of Guadalupe which is one of the main streets that borders the Plaza. Once you cross Guadalupe, you will see lots of shops, restaurants and museums. Park is a very quiet street just off the beaten path. You can enjoy a day at the plaza, walk back to the casita and enjoy a quiet night on the patio. Or take a little walk to any of the nearby restaurants in the area. If you don’t feel like eating out, there are several grocery stores in the area. The kitchen is fully equipped making it easy to whip up a delicious meal of your very own!

Mary Ann was a delight to work with, and this well-appointed casita was clean, comfortable and charming. I would certainly stay here again.

Beautiful Santa Fe casita

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our time here and found everything to be as advertised. Very clean, well maintained, and beautifully decorated with purchasable local artwork on the walls. Short (2-3 block) walk to the main downtown shopping/art/restaurant area. Very quiet, on a lightly-travelled street with a private patio--great for morning coffee and evening wine (or vice versa). Fully-equipped kitchen. Comfortable seating. Comfortable beds. Good climate control. Perfect size for two couples. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Great way to enjoy Santa Fe. Highly recommended.

Excellent location- easy walk to all the sites and good places to eat close by. We didn't really use the kitchen but it looked well equipped. Would definitely recommend.

Owner's Response: Lisa, thank you for taking time to write in! It was such a pleasure to work with you and I'm so glad that you enjoyed your stay in Casita D. Sounds like the perfect vacation - you had a chance to get out of the kitchen and let someone else do the cooking! We are surrounded by the best restaurants in the world! Hurry back and see us!

Location good, house not so much

  • 2 of 5

Whoever took the pictures did a great job of making the place (and yard) look bigger than it is. Three adults were a bit cramped. The location is very good. Nice neighborhood and a fairly easy walk to the plaza. (Though we rarely walk. Parking is cheap and you never know what you may buy and have to haul back!) The property manger was nice a she could be. The house was pretty dark. Lighting could be improved. We had a big rainstorm during our stay and one of the windows leaked. From the looks of the plaster this was not the first time. I understand these things happen, but when it happens while you're staying there, it's not good.

Owner's Response: Dear Jim, thank you so much for staying with us and thank you so much for taking time to write this review. I'm so glad that you enjoyed the location of the casita and I sure enjoyed working with you and the ladies! I'll go through the casita and see about lighting and adding in brighter lights. Most of the light bulbs are low wattage which is easily fixable. As I mentioned, we have been trying to find the damages on the roof, which as you know isn't always accomplished the first time round. But we are getting closer and we will repair and paint the inside once it's complete. Next time you come to visit it will be all fixed up!! Also, we do use wide angle cameras to take photos. They just come out better but I do not want to deceive any one. On our website we have square footage of each of the casitas, so I've gone back into VRBO and listed the square footage of each of the casitas. We also have a diagram that will hopefully help people when the look at the site. I do have several casitas that are larger that might work better for you next time round. Thanks again for staying with us and hope to see you again soon!

Convenient, quiet and clean

  • 3 of 5

We stayed in Unit D at the Casitas de Guadalupe in Santa Fe. And yes the location is convenient to the Plaza, and it was private and quiet, but the interior finishes are tired and not very comfortable. The 2 bathrooms are tiny, the décor, art and furniture are lacking in quality, the sofa is uncomfortable and the seats slant backwards, the hardwood floors are dull and unfinished, the appliances are pretty old, and the queen bed mattress in the back bedroom was not very comfortable. The unit was clean and Mary Ann is quite pleasant to communicate with but we will not return to this unit.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for taking time to write. Although we love to hear the good comments, the not so good are always welcome and taken very seriously and I will do my best to try to improve our property. I can't do much about the size, but we are very clear on our description, layout and size of the casita so that guests understand that the casitas are just that, "Little Houses". Casita D is in the process of getting painted this month and we will also see what we can do about the wood floor in the den area. We are not a corporate owned company so we do not have an unlimited budget but do our best to try and paint and keep up the property as often as we can. Unfortunately, some guests are not so kind when they stay with us and we have to paint and touch up constantly. The sofa is fairly new and made from Italian leather but I will take a look at it. And I will also take a look at the appliances and see what needs to be replaced. I''m always looking for new items for our casitas. As for the mattress, all our mattresses include gel toppers, but maybe it's time for a new mattress. I tell guests that we are clean, comfy and conveniently located near the plaza. I'm sorry we let you down on the "Cozy" portion but wanted to let you know that we have 12 casitas and I would love for you to try another one next time you visit Santa Fe. Each casita is unique and we would like to have a chance to make it up to you. I hope to hear from you some day in the near future. Thanks again for your comments!
