Second Times a Charm!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay at the property and we will return again. We live in the area and this property is one of the nicest, secluded and well maintained properties available. The property is well designed, well built and just cool. The online pictures do not do it justice. Our recent stay was during January and temperatures were in the teens. But the cabin was cozy and warm with no drafts. During a previous stay, in warmer weather, we hiked to the top of the mountain behing the cabin and were rewarded with spectacular views. The South Fork of the Holston runs below the property. Several miles of the river, both below and above the cabin, are stocked trout waters with a combination of both catch and release and put and take sections. Within a short drive you also have access to more of the best trout waters in Virginia. If fishing isn't your thing, there are miles of hiking, biking, horse and atv trails in the area including the Appalachian Trial and Creeper Trail. The cabin, though secluded, is only a short drive from the restuarants and venues in Marion and Abingdon. Our preference is to chill in-place and enjoy the views, wildlife, serenity and wonderful hottub the property offers.

Wonderful mountain getaway

  • 5 of 5

I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a getaway in a quiet, peaceful mountain environment. I live in Manassas and work in DC, and needed to get it away from hustle and bustle of things for a few days. THIS PLACE WAS PERFECT!!! It was more than me and the wife could ask for. We are already talking about coming back. Again, no less than 5 stars.

Private and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit to this private luxurious cabin. My wife and I spent our wedding anniversary here and it did not disappoint. The cabin is stocked with everything you need and we never left the cabin the entire weekend except for a little fly fishing in the fantastic trout stream below the cabin. Ryan is very easy to work with when booking this place. The attention to detail put into the construction of the cabin is tremendous. My wife especially liked the heated floors. The hot tub is on a covered deck at the edge of the woods with a small stream running below creating quite the relaxing atmosphere. If your planning to visit the area or looking for a private spot to relax, this is the place.

Very private modern cabin.

  • 5 of 5

This was the prefect place for our honeymoon. It is in a very private, wooded location. The cabin has all of the modern conveniences but with a modern rustic style. Heated floors and a gas fireplace kept us toasty even though the temperatures were in single digits outside. Large, well insulated windows allowed a view of the mountains through the trees while relaxing in front of the fire. The bedroom is open to the living space making this cabin perfect for a couple. The hot tub is a short walk from the house on its own covered deck but was enjoyable even with the cold temperatures. We booked for three nights but we enjoyed it so much we asked to stay for a fourth night. We would definitely stay again.

This property is everything advertised and more. It is very secluded and quiet but close enough to civilization for needed supplies or adventure. You will love the retreat from everyday hustle and bustle. We will be scheduling another stay soon.
