What a View!
We have stayed at other VRBO/HomeAway properties and have enjoyed them all. But honestly, this was the best—especially the view at night.
The loft itself is attractively furnished and located right across the street from a bus stop served by three routes. When we travel we like to stay in downtown urban areas with convenient public transportation and drive only for things like grocery shopping, visiting outlying areas, and carrying golf clubs, of course. San Antonio's VIA public transit system has very reasonably priced monthly passes and seniors, which we are, get an additional 50% off at $19.00 per person, per month. San Antonio may have a small-town feel, but it is still a large city, and parking—when you can find it—will quickly add up to many times the cost of a monthly bus pass.
The San Antonio Riverwalk area in the heart of downtown is filled with nice restaurants. At one point it is only about a block from Alamo Plaza, the site of the famous battle during the Texas revolution. We walked there a couple of times, but found that walking round trip was a bit much, so we generally took a bus, at least one direction.
If there is anything that approaches Mexican food in San Antonio, it would be the numerous, reasonably priced, golf courses in the surrounding areas. There are plenty of other things to do in the nearby Texas Hill Country, but I will limit my commentary to golf, food, and drink. Some people may be surprised to learn that central Texas is home to a good many German settlers, and I was expecting to find more German restaurants in San Antonio. If you like good German food the towns out in the Hill Country are the places to visit. Fredericksburg is my favorite.
Jon Allman, the owner of the loft, was especially helpful in resolving a couple of very minor repair issues. He brought out a portable AC unit on Sunday when we had a problem with the loft's thermostat to tide us over until he could get the maintenance person in to fix it later; even though it was still quite comfortable without it with the windows open. We never met Jon's wife, Tara, but the afternoon we arrived there was a split of champagne in the refrigerator with a very nice welcome note from her.
Thank you for the very kind review! We love it when travelers love the city (and the view from our loft) as much as we do! Hope you guys can come back again soon!

A wonderful condo
The condo was very clean and a great location. I did not have a vehicle and enjoyed walking to the downtown area. The bus stop was just outside the door and easy to use. The Riverwalk is just a couple of blocks away. A great place to stay.
Thank you for your kind review! We are excited you enjoyed the month long stay in our executive loft and look forward to another visit!
LOVE BEING IN CENTER OF DOWNTOWN WITH GREAT VIEW
CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE
We are so glad you all enjoyed our loft and hope you can stay again sometime soon!
Clean, Comfy, Quiet, and Secure
We had a very pleasant stay at this centrally located industrial style downtown loft. It is a very clean building, with very friendly neighbors, cleaning crew, and maintenance man on-site. Secure gated community. The loft is right by the elevator, which was so convenient getting to and from our vehicles. We also loved the easy access to the gym down by the basement area. We couldn't get over the magnificent view of the downtown skyline from our apartment window, which can also be viewed from the rooftop terrace.
The loft was equipped with every amnenity we needed. The Wifi worked great. The kitchen was stocked with utensils, pots, pans, and much more to make a delicious meal. The bed and linen were comfortable for a quiet nights sleep. There are more than enough large bath towels and wash rags for a warm bath or shower.
What made this stay even better was the Excellent client service that Jon, Tara and Braden provided. If there was anything you needed, they were just a phone call away. Thanks for providing such Awesome client service and a luxury loft! We enjoyed every bit of a Home Away from Home!
Home away from home in July
We stayed in the downtown loft while my husband completed training at Fort Sam Houston. It was a perfect location with about a 15 minute drive to the base. Upon our arrival I was impressed with the immaculate and nicely decorated loft. I immediately felt at home. You can't beat the beautiful view of the downtown skyline. I enjoyed both the rooftop patio and pool area during my stay. The city is lovely with so much to see and do. I particularity loved walking downtown early mornings. It's a short drive to the McNay museum of art and Witte museum.
Thank you so much for the kind words about your stay. We are so fortunate to have such grateful guests!
