Mysigt litet underbart hus
Vi hade en underbar vecka i detta hus. Typisk Provence villa med patina. Söker ni det rustika och närhet till liten by är detta hus perfekt. Lite små skavanker men det gav snarare charm än irritation.
Melissa var en fantastisk värdinna!
Thank you for the lovely review! I'm glad you enjoyed the charm, calm and practicality of the villa. Sunny regards Melissa
Lovely property, conveniently situated very close to the heart of Vence
Stayed as a party of 4 in late May '17.
The house is in traditional and charming French style, decor and fittings. Its thick stone walls help keep it cool inside in hot weather.
The pool - of very decent size and a gorgeously cool respite in hot weather - has wonderful views of the town in one direction and of the looming hills/mountains behind.
The property is within walking distance of the town, which has a good variety of restaurants and it is also conveniently near a very decent sized supermarket. Being primarily interested in relaxation (as opposed to sight-seeing in the area) we were able to manage perfectly well for a 7 day stay without the need for a car, just buying in as needed.
We would recommend this property to anyone seeking a relaxing break in a very nice part of the world.
Great place for family visit
We were a family of 5 over 3 generations and there was something for everyone. A great location only 5 minutes walk from the centre of town but quiet in the evenings if you have little ones who need to get to sleep. The house itself is well laid out and when the weather is nice there are many books and crannies to explore in the garden. Our weather was unfortunately mixed but the open wood fire warmed us up! The inside of the house is large and there are 4 good sized bedrooms. The upstairs bedroom has a fantastic view of vence from its window and there is even an outside balcony. The pool looks lovely but as we were out of season we unfortunately couldn’t use that sure it’s lovely in the summer though. A lovely stay overall and would recommend
Vence is a beautiful market town with a XIIth century medieval historical centre. Conveniently nestled in the foothills of the Alps, just 15 minutes drive to the busy coastline, it allows its visitors to be close to the beaches and animation of the Cote d'Azur whilst enjoying a wonderful tranquility and renowned air quality.
Like its world famous sister-village, St Paul-de-Vence located just within a 5 minutes drive, Vence is famous for being the hometown of some of the most well-known artists of all times such as Matisse, Chagall; Dufy; etc. and remains a vibrant artistic and cultural place with many art galleries, music and traditional festivals.
It also will delight Nature-lovers with great hiking in the 'Baous' (the hills over-looking the town).
End your days with an aperitif on one of the many café terraces and dine in some of the best restaurants of the region.
Vence is sure to charm you and have you returning year after year.
