Native Hawaiian canoes also race In winter time you can watch the whales come in to calve and teach their young to swim and play. Island Sands has a private beach for you to enjoy snorkeling, surf, kayak, paddleboard, fishing, or swimming with the turtles. Enjoy stunning sunrises and sunsets over Mt. Haleakala, and full moon shimmering on the ocean framed by swaying palm trees. Relax by the pool, or in our lovely condo with our guest amenities, and go home refreshed with the Aloha spirit of our condo.
The condo was renovated December 2014 and has all new furnishings and kitchen equipment, granite counters, ice maker in the fridge, a large pantry, and small appliances. There is also a washer dryer combination unit in the kitchen which works like a charm. New dishes and glassware make entertaining or cozy dining fun. You also have a pillow topped queen bed with luxurious sheets, and a couch with memory foam mattress for a great sleep listening to the waves roll, if you prefer to have guests stay. Flat screen Blue Ray TV and DVD/CD in the living room, and boogie boards and snorkel equipment await you on the lanai. Dimmer switch lighting, high boy table and chairs create a great view of the ocean and romantic ambiance for outdoor dining on the lanai. Bathroom has marble vanity, and lovely walk in shower.
Island Sands has barbecue grills for outdoor cooking, and tables in the pool area for gatherings, an outdoor shower, and a car washing area. It is located within walking distance of several good restaurants, which are across from Maalaea Harbor where you can go out on dolphin and whale watching excursions, sunset cruises, or snorkeling/diving adventures. Maalaea is centrally located in Maui so it is an easy drive to great places to explore such as the Haleakala National Park, Haiku/Paia ( wind surfing and other water sports), Ulapalakua local winery, Lahaina/Kaanapali and Keihei for shopping and night life, Kahului for the Maui Cultural Arts Center and more.
