Great location! The house is lovely and had everything we needed. The pool was wonderful. We're sad to go.
Another great visit to Gulfport
Our third visit, and the cottage didn't disappoint. The owners, Lysa and Don, were friendly and helpful as ever. Gulfport makes a great base to explore the attractions of the surrounding Tampa Bay and St Peterburg area.
Beautiful Cottage and great location!
When I walked through the door I was amazed at such a beautiful cottage. It was perfect for a quiet, restful get away. There were three of us (includes my 4 legged Bonsai), so plenty of room for us. Every convenient is provided to you but if you needed/forgotten something you can get it close by. The kitchen had everything you needed, spices, food processor, pots and pans, dishes and the dishwasher was a plus too. Plenty of towels and linens provided. No need to bring plenty of clothes, you can just wash it on the new LG front loader - there is even a place to hang clothing to dry. The dog beach on Fort Desoto was a 35 minutes drive and my Bonsai did swim but we decided we liked hanging in the back relaxing next to pool better than the sand ;). Floats are provided and I added an inflatable baby pool to the collection :). Gulfport is a quant town which is a couple of blocks away and the people are very friendly. This town is definitely a dog town - I see dogs when I am out. Lots of places nearby to eat so no need to cook. There is even a Dog grooming shop in town! I rented a stroller for the day to take my Bonsai to the Ellenton Factory Outlet. They allowed her to be in the store with us, she did not have to be left alone at home! I would definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone. Thanks Lysa for allowing us to stay at your cottage hope to be back next year. Janie
You bet, Janie. Hope to have you back, too!
Best spot in Gulfport
Words don't do this property justice. Everything is perfect! Super clean, incredibly comfortable and not a single convienance overlooked. The only thing that you won't like......leaving. I have found my forever beach rental. Don't look any further, this is the place for you. :) 🌴 🌴😎
Thanks so much, Melanie! We hope you can visit us again:)
The home was absolutely amazing...it was beautifully decorated with plenty of room for my family of 4! The master bedroom was stunning with a stand up shower and a jacuzzi tub! The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. I loved that you could get to the pool from the dining room and also the master this made it very convenient! The pool was VERY NICE it is salt water and solar heated which made it very nice because u don't get that over-powering chlorine smell all through the house. The area is a small and quaint little area that has all kinds of things to do also it is a 10 min drive to the gulf beaches! Overall I give it a 10 out of 10! Thank You for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home
Thank you both for your lovely review. We are blessed to have such appreciative guests:)
Home away from home
My wife and I have been there twice now and we love it. The cottage is cozy and up to date with lots of decorative pazazz. You will not be disappointed. The town right down the street on the bay is laid back and has a great welcoming feel. Lots of shops and places to eat. Quinton and Janet Higgins
Thanks Quinton & Janet! We are delighted that you love it as much as we do. We hope to welcome you back another time.
All the best,
Gulfport is a quaint beach community only 2.5 sq. miles in area. We are bordered by St. Pete beach on the west and St. Pete downtown on our east. St. Peterburg has numerous museums, including the largest collection of Salvador Dali in the world. Our little town has a lovely beach on Boca Ceiga Bay with two fishing piers, a playground, volleyball & basketball courts. The historic Gulfport Casino offers numerous dance lessons, dances, and performances. There are many restaurants along our beach front offering live entertainment, plus boutiques, galleries, and restaurants all within 3 blocks of our home. There are two small groceries within walking distance, several churches, the library, and the Gulfport Historical Museum. Gulfport Marina and Boca Ciega Yacht Club, plus two waterfront nature parks are a 10 min. walk. There is bus service within 2 blocks to both downtown St. Pete and St. Pete beaches, plus any major shopping areas. You are staying in a small beach enclave, home to many artists, with quiet brick streets where everyone walks or rides a bike, yet minutes away by car or bus to cultural and entertainment venues. 35 mins. to either Tampa or Sarasota, which offer additional entertainment options.
