Great getaway bungalow

Jimmy is an excellent host....his place is clean, modern, and extremely comfortable. The location is ideal... 2 blocks from the gulfport veach and an easy 10-15 minute drive to St. Petes beach.

Amazing Stay!

This property was amazing. The artwork and attention to detail was truly exceptional. The location to the main strip in Gulfport was great. Our host was very helpful and communicated with us regularly throughout our stay. We hope to stay at this property again soon!

Charming with character

This property, although older, has alot of CHARM! We loved the location and the art district it was around. The check in process was a breeze and the house itself was well stocked!!! Jimmy gave us great recommendations in the area and check on our visit a few times just to ensure we were all comfortable. We thank you and will be back (hopefully soon).

Close to everything!

The property was beautiful and within walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. We had a slight miscommunication and the owner was quick to address our concerns and offer a suitable solution. The area was fun and we enjoyed our time.

Absolutely amazing!

I can’t wait for another occasion to go back to the fantastic vacation rental! The design of this place is just spectacular and an art deco heaven. It was so relaxing and peaceful and the whole house is well appointed. This will be the only place I stay when going to the St Pete area. Love it!!

Great place and the owner is terrific

It was a great property and the owner was awesome to deal with. Welcomed us and offered any assistance if we had any. But we did not, it was a great location within walking distance to restaurants and what a wonderful little community in Gulfport. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Overall the property was as advertised. They are working to make it an amazing place. I did hear neighbors snoring but an old duplex has thin walls. 😎

Great place! Great location!

The pics do not do justice to the place. Jimmy keeps clean and always communicates with you. The neighborhood is very unique and welcoming. Blocks from the bay, good food and very peaceful. 15-18 minutes to Clearwater and st Pete’s beach. We loved it!

Wonderful stay close to the beach

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is one side of a duplex and well maintained. The home was comfortable and stocked with all we needed. The pool was relaxing as I enjoyed a few hours sitting outside. One bedroom is the lowest level and stays very cool temperature wise. The upstairs bedroom is bright and comfortable. The bathroom is outside the upstairs bedroom which is a bit inconvenient for anyone in the bottom bedroom. Any questions I had, I was able to text the owner and he replied very quickly. Gulfport is an adorable town. The beach is an easy three block walk with restaurants and shops. I would highly recommend staying at this house when you plan your visit to Gulfport, FL.

Perfect location!

We loved staying in the Gulfport area! This house was in the perfect location and within walking distance of lots of great restaurants, shops and even pickleball courts if you are so inclined! We also enjoyed the bikes and the ride through Clam Bayou Nature Preserve!

5 ⭐️ Absolutely stunning place , walking distance to sunsets over the bay and bars , shops , restaurants, VEGAN options (yay!!!) . Sumitra Coffee shop 5-stars . Wish we could have stayed longer . Definitely coming back .

Wonderful stay in Gulfport

Our stay was everything we could have asked for, and more. The property was beautiful and spacious. The owner’s attention to detail was awesome. We loved the little courtyard where we could enjoy our breakfast each morning, and enjoyed the refreshing pool. We are planning to retire to FL within the next year, and Gulfport is on our short list. Such a beautiful little town, with just a laid-back, old Florida, artsy, beach vibe. We loved O’Maddy’s, Gulfport Brewery, and all the options for live music. We will definitely stay again when in the area, and have already recommended this property to friends. Only bad part was leaving.

Mr. Brattain purchased this 1938 duplex situated on a double lot with the thought of scraping the structure in order to build two new homes for re-sale but quickly broke his golden rule and that was falling in love with the property. What started off as an estimated 6 month project has turned into a 2 and a half year labor of intense love. The estimated total completion of Mr. Brattain's vision is early 2016 by adding a fire pit and swimming pool.

Part of the décor is inspired by long nights as child watching old movies with his departed grandmother and other spaces, by the initials of his grandfather, RL. The only example of residential art deco architectural to remain in Gulfport, was saved by a passion to remember two very wonderful people... And as a result, those travelers fortunate enough to stumble across this gem, will see first hand what love can create.
