Cabin was nice
The cabin was nice but it did lack privacy. It was very dog friendly. The road noise was a little loud for our taste but you could not hear it from inside the cabin. Overall nice place if your spending time inside.
Good choice close to Mt. Rainier
Property was clean and my family had a pleasant stay. It is very close to Mt Rainier. Back yard with large hot tub and fire pit. I was impressed with the well appointed kitchen - cookware was stainless steel. The Cuisinart waffle iron made excellent waffles, and we appreciated the waffle mix and instructions. My only complaint is some of the board games are missing pieces, so it would be a good idea to go through them and replace ones that cannot be played. Overall, great family weekend getaway.
Perfect family getaway for ALL
We had a wonderful time - The cabin was well equipped and we could not have asked for more! We were pleasantly surprised by the amazing dog run and short walk to the river, which had so much area for exploring with the kiddos and dogs. My littlest slipped on a rock into the water, so we had to walk back (before the other’s) to change - we were greeted with a group of deer strolling through yards (eating - making their way to the water)....such a sweet moment with my kiddo, watching them SO closely and saying over and over “I want to just pet them, they are so cute”. The following morning, we had a group of 3 deer hang in the yard, eating and watching us in the cabin (ALL kids got to experience this)! Great memories in a beautiful cabin - Thank You!!! =)
Overall communication was great and the cabin was accommodating for dogs, kids and adults. Perfect getaway!
Family birthday getaway
We will for sure be staying here again. It is a dreamy place to stay and so welcoming and perfect for our little family. It was such a pleasure to stay, we are trying to set up a few times a year to come stay here. Maybe even Christmas tradition with our parents from the midwest.
Cozy cabin with character and VERY close to MRNP
We chose this cabin based on it's proximity to Mt. Rainier, and we were able to get to the park in about 1 minute, which was fantastic. We normally prefer seclusion, but opted for a closer drive this time. The landscaping around the cabin was gorgeous and made it feel very secluded, even though there were neighbors. One night there was a wedding next door, but they were completely quiet by 7pm. If we wouldn't have been there that day, I would have thought there weren't any neighbors as we never saw anyone else the entire time. You can see traffic going by to the national park, but it wasn't bothersome, and you couldn't really be closer without staying inside the park. The cabin itself is very cute, and the decorations and little touches made it feel very comfortable. It seemed like they put a lot of thought into what a traveler would want, and provided empty shelves, hooks, blankets, games, etc. There was nothing we wanted that wasn't there. We used the fireplace every day (mid-June), and it was very cozy. The kitchen was huge, and had lots of space for our own supplies and food, which I have found to be unusual and really appreciated. The cabin has a lot of character - I would definitely recommend it.
Hike natural wooded trails, identify meadow wildflowers, enjoy the wildlife, go fishing, mountain biking or just snap some photos. Enjoy mountain climbing, take in the glaciers, waterfalls, or old growth forests. In the fall view the spectacular autumn colors. During the winter take guided snowshoe or cross country skiing tours with the park rangers, rent snowmobiles or bring up your sleds. Nearby attractions include Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad, Northwest Trek Wildlife Park, Recycled Spirits of Iron Sculpture Garden, EZ Times Outfitters Horseback Rides, and boating and fishing at Alder and Mineral Lake.
