Clean and cozy cabin with added hot tub bonus!

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I stayed over the may long for a birthday celebration. The property is beautiful, with a creek running through and forest area behind. The owner supplied a wheel barrow full of wood and the cabin and surrounding area was very clean. The hot tub was fantastic! The cabin is next to the owners house but still private as it has been partitioned off. Overall we had a great stay and plan to return!

Beautiful quite cabin,

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin, it is very quite and peaceful. our whole stay we never saw anybody, but had very good communication with the property owner over email and text prior to arrival. When we arrived the property was clean and how described, with no surprises. The hot tub was one of the best part, with a tea or coffee every morning in the hot tub, it's easy to wake up. My only complaint would be the property does come with a BBQ, but the burners seem very weak in it, but that's still minor, we just ended up using our Coleman stove. We would stay again!

Charming and secluded

  • 5 of 5

Jurgen was very friendly upon our arrival to the cabin. He showed us around and gave us a tour along with some important information. The cabin was clean and cozy and fitting of what you would expect in this part of the country. For those doing Banff and Jasper, this cabin is about a 2 hour drive into many of the park hikes each day. However, the drive down 93 through Kootenay and Radium was really nice. Radium is very cute and worth exploring. We were pleasantly surprised. The only thing that I wish I knew before I left is that you cannot drive right up to the cabin. It is behind their house. So consolidate your stuff before you travel here or else you will be making a few trips back and forth to the car.

Not what we were expecting after reading other reveiws and info from the owners.

  • 3 of 5

Have to park way too far away to unload your belongings for your stay. Trail to the cabin very narrow and difficult to maneuver rolling coolers and suitcases. Would have enjoyed the creek more if there would have been a screen door on the cabin. Had to keep it shut to keep out the many mosquitos. The mosquitos were terrible even though they were kind enough to offer mosquito coils. Pantry items pretty much was only salt and pepper and a few drips of dish soap. There was coffee in a container but enough for one morning. Only a couple sheets on the paper towel left on the holder. I know they would restock if we asked but these simple items should be stocked before a new renter comes in. Glad we had a sleeping bag to put on the bed under us. Glad we stocked up on ice before we got there because the frig was barely cool. We kept our food in our cooler. (new frig under $100) It wasn't horrible but sure could have been better. Nice people and the cabin was very clean.

Owner's Response: Sorry to hear your expectations weren't met. Condiments are not advertised but there is always salt, pepper and coffee in the cabin. I remember you came up and asked for some cooking oil and we gladly supplied that for you. The cabin is in the forest so there are mosquitos, there is nothing we can do about it. Part of living here. Paper towels are also provided. If there is something low guests usually come up and ask for it. Thanks for letting us know about the fridge, we will be looking into that. On the website it states that guests are not able to park at the cabin, it is a short walk to the cabin. We always offer to help our guests with the luggage. Thanks, Louise and Jurgen Striegel

Great wooded property on creek close to radium springs. Private hot tub.

  • 5 of 5

Property is on owners home property, by a great privacy fence between the two creates great privacy. Owners are friendly and available if needed, but great to respect your privacy. We didn't have any questions after check in & didn't see them the rest of our 2 night stay. We drive the Columbia Icefields and was the most gorgeous part of our banff trip. Well worth the drive!

Great cabin

  • 5 of 5

We loved the cabin and the sound of the running water in the creek. It was a great get away from the hustle and bustle. Perfect for a couple's get away
