Love the Little Rabbit

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the Little Rabbit was a home away from home. We arrived after a week on the road and were immediately impressed with the attention to detail in the cabin. Everything we needed to cook our meals was provided. If you want a 'home away from home' experience, stay at the Little Rabbit. The cleanliness, organization, comfortable beds, soft linens, and decor created the perfect vacation in the mountains. The outdoor grill made it even more enjoyable for the hubby. It's situated in a very family friendly area with fishing, biking, hiking, and tons of other activities. Thank you again Denise for opening up your home to us! We'll be back for sure!

Wonderful Christmas memories!

  • 5 of 5

From the start to finish of our vacation, we had an amazing time in Pagosa Springs. This cabin made the experience all-the-more special for our family. It was warm, cozy, and outfitted to every detail that we could think of. The location was ideal, not too far from the main thoroughfare and set in a picturesque array of pine trees near Lake Pagosa. Our children had so much fun playing in the snow with the plastic sleds on the slope near the front drive. After short 30 minute commute you can find more winter activities at Wolf Creek pass. We opted for the snowmobile adventure and were not disappointed. For those who are looking for a bigger rush, Wolf Creek ski resort is just a few minutes up the road from there. Another one of our activities included a train ride in Durango, CO. It also was well worth the one hour drive through beautiful scenic surroundings. Overall, I give this rental a five star rating. The owners have gone above and beyond to provide a unique atmosphere in the home as well as comfortable accommodations. The kitchen is stocked with every gadget and utensil you will need, there's a plethora of DVDs, strong WiFi signal, a large capacity washer & dryer, and plenty of towels for a large family. Communication and responsiveness from the owners is also A+. Rosie's Pizzeria and the The Springs Resort are also worth the mention. We reluctantly left this beautiful place as our vacation came to a close, but we will always cherish the wonderful Christmas memories forever captured in our hearts! <3 :)

From the minute we drove up we were in awe! Then we went inside and couldn't believe it!

The attention to each and every detail was everywhere. It was beautifully decorated also. We look forward to coming back at a later date.

Best equipped cabin I've ever stayed in. Fully stocked kitchen. Plenty of towels, and washcloths. Loved watching the deer in the yard while having my morning coffee in the porch swing. Very friendly town. Will definitely stay here again when I return to Pagosa Springs.

About Denise

My husband, Joe, and I are the homeowners. We have been in the construction business for over thirty years and have several rental properties. Built in 1980, we located this cabin in 2011. The cabin was purchased and then completely remodeled. We began renting it out during the Spring of 2012. This is the only property we use as our second home and we stay there as often as possible. We love Pagosa Springs and the surrounding Mountains. The cabin is family friendly and a great place to make lifelong memories. We really enjoy hearing that our guests were satisfied with their stay at the cabin and we do everything we can to make that possible.

Denise purchased this cabin in 2011

Why Denise chose Pagosa Springs

Finding Pagosa & the San Juan National Forest is like finding paradise. Its wild, natural location takes you back in time to a slow paced life of simple pleasures and awesome experiences. The surrounding wilderness adds to the breathtaking beauty that captures your spirit when you arrive. The town is filled with specialty shops, restaurants, and outdoor activities, and you're just minutes away from millions of acres of natural forest and wilderness area.

What makes this cabin unique

The cabin has new major & minor appliances, new bathrooms, and new vinyl windows. It has new couches, new beds and bedding, and high-quality protective covers for the mattresses and pillows. The cabin stays comfy and cozy all year. It has baseboard electric heaters in every room, but the gas fireplace in the living room alone will keep the entire cabin warm in the sub-zero winter cold. All three bedrooms are connected to a bathroom which makes for convenient access.

Unlike many of the other rental properties in Pagosa Springs, this cabin is located in a quiet, peaceful area with no highway noise. The neighborhood is safe and relaxing.

The cabin is approximately 7,500 feet in elevation on a small hill near Lake Pagosa and is less than 5 minutes from everything in Pagosa Springs. There is a carport to keep snow, ice, and rain off your vehicle and belongings. There also is an enclosed back yard with a privacy fence for sunning, picnicking, and BBQs. The second story back deck balcony is a great place to sit and drink your morning beverage even if it's raining or snowing. The covered front porch makes it possible to get into or out of the cabin with ease while staying out of the weather and, of course, it has the classic front porch swing. There are tall Ponderosa Pine and young Blue Spruce surrounding the property. The cabin is our second home so it is fully stocked with everything you need (except for food, clothing, and personal necessities).
