Great Location Winter Or Summer. Family Rental. Access To Hot Tub, Sauna, Pool

A true home away from home. Large 2 storey town house. Sleeps 10. Ideal for two families or a group of friends.

Top to bottom renovation completed December 2014. New bathrooms, stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. New flooring, lighting, paint, switches, hardware etc. throughout.

This is family living a short 4 min walk to the Canyon gondola and the Village. Town shuttle stop at the end of the entry walkway. Park the car (open air, street adjacent) and you don't need to use it again until you leave !

We are close to the action and excitement of the Village (4 min walk) and the Westin (2 min walk) but private enough that you are not disturbed by any of it.

Layout:

Ground floor -front bedroom (2 twin beds), bunk room (4 twins), Bathroom with bath/shower, main bedroom (Queen bed) with en-suite double vanity and shower room.

Top floor: Living room, dining area (Seating 10 (8 adults comfortably at the main table) plus 2 at the bar)), kitchen, bedroom (Queen bed), shower room.

New Queen bed mattresses as of Jan '16.

Dimmable LED spots in all rooms (bye bye bad condo lighting).

Living room has a Malm real wood fireplace and vaulted wood ceiling with skylights. The living room opens onto the balcony which has a small gas BBQ and stores the free firewood.

Our home has a well stocked renovated kitchen: new plates, pans, utensils, coffee maker, blender, sandwich maker, etc.

The living room has large flatscreen TV, surround sound, BluRay/DVD and IPTV (Netflix, Amazon, Hulu etc. (you will need your own accounts). We have lots of DVDs and music in the unit.

All bedrooms except bunk room have flat screens with built-in DVD player. Main bedroom and front bedroom have stereo CD players.

All bedrooms and living room have a humidifier. All rooms have individual thermostat electric heating.

We have wireless broadband throughout.

You are welcome to use the complex Jacuzzi. There is also a pool (closed in the winter), and dry sauna and communal showers. The reception area also has a pool table, ping-pong, and a pinball machine.

We are a family of ex-pat Europeans based in LA with 4 very active boys. Winter or summer Mammoth is a world class spot. This is our home and we invite you to share it with us. We love coming here to do everything or simply nothing.

We love skiing and snowboarding as well as hiking and fishing. We also love just hanging at the condo relaxing as a family.

Mammoth is a place where kids can be kids and we can unwind. After a hard day (or not) in the outdoors, we usually cook at home, light a roaring fire, pick a good book or a movie and snuggle up on the sofas.

Why Darryl Franklin chose Mammoth Mountain

Mammoth Estates is one of the best positioned developments in Mammoth. A very short walk to the Village and Canyon gondola you can park the car and forget about it. Kids can come and go as they please, the shops are a few minutes away but we are out of the hustle and bustle of the town. We are a few minutes walk to great restaurants, bars and shops when we want them. A shuttle stop which gives you free transport all over town is a 1 minute walk from our front door.

There are not many 4 bed 3 bath town homes this convenient to everything for both winter and summer. Most developments are great for one or other (or you are stuck out of everything not close to anything).

The development is well maintained and has a hot tub and sauna open all year as well as a pool (summer only). In the main office area there is a ping pong table, pool table and pinball. There are also two sets of washer/dryers in the same area.

What makes this townhome unique

Our home has been renovated to keep the mountain cabin charm but lose the bad lighting, old bathrooms and dodgy carpet. Modern, comfortable and highly functional this truly is a home away from home. We want to share our home with people who appreciate that and will treat it accordingly.

Many of our happiest memories come from time spent in our home in Mammoth.

Lovely home, perfect location!

This beautiful home fit our group of 6 adults and 3 children perfectly, and was just 5 mins walk from Mammoth Village and the gondola to Canyon Lodge. The kitchen was well equipped and the house stocked with amenities (toilet roll, Kleenex, hand/dish soaps etc) - it was nice not having to worry about bringing those with us! TVs in all rooms and good WiFi were useful (esp with kids). With 3 cars between us there was generally pkg avail on the street, although coming home late sometimes meant going a bit further out. To be honest, we hardly touched the car as the gondola was so close. Darryl was responsive & helpful to all of our enquiries. This will be my first port of call on our next visit to Mammoth! Thanks for a great visit.

Perfect Mammoth Lakes Gateaway Lodging

This lovely house had everything we were looking for: perfect location next to the Village, beautiful mountain cabin decor, fully equipped kitchen and rooms, comfortable beds. The bonus was a welcome wine and chocolate waffle tubes in the kitchen  upon our arrival. The HomeAway app provided useful knowledge about Mammoth Lakes, local dining, entertainment. We liked a flexible check-in process.

I highly recommend Darryl Franklin house as the place to stay in the Mammoth Lakes all year around if you want to spend a good time with your family and friends.

Awesome condo, updated and stylish

We stayed here for a few nights before the Thanksgiving weekend. Unlike a lot of condos you see in Mammoth, that are older and dated, this is very modern and stylish. Bathrooms and kitchens Were tastefully remodeled. There is a downstairs master bedroom, along with two other bedrooms and a bath, so if you are averse to walking up stairs, that could be a plus. This type of condo isn't the biggest, so if you plan on being outside most of the time, this will work. If you plan on doing family dinners with more than 8 people, it's going to be tight quarters in the commonliving room area. Aside from that, the location is fantastic. Very close to the Village, Mammoth brewing (growler fill ups for $9.00!) and town.

Wonderful location

We had a great time staying at this place in Mammoth Estates. The bedrooms easily sleep ten people. We cooked each night in the well equipped kitchen and also barbecued on the gas barbecue a couple of nights. It was fun walking into the Village and checking out all the excitement. Owner provided tons of DVD's and was very easy to get ahold of for any questions we had. We will definitely be staying here again next year. Thank you!!

Great updates and renovations!

All the bathrooms and kitchen counters were renovated and modern which made the home feel updated from its original age.

We had a great time and Ken was easy to contact and very helpful.
