Overview

About the property

A 4,000 sq ft lodge surrounded by 8, rustic log cabins w/kitchens and bathrooms

This off the grid, authentic lodge is located just an hour north of Bangor on one of Maine's most pristine lakes. Rent the "Lake View Suite" (3 bedrooms, a living room, and a private bath) and have the run of the Lodge kitchen and dining room. Perfect place to entertain. The suite will sleep 8 comfortably. There are also 8 log cabins on the property to rent. Total overnight capacity of 40.

Deep into the Maine Woods, the Lodge is only 7 miles off of paved roads, but at the trail head of Maine's extensive ATV and snowmobile trails. Stay in the lake view suite, and rent cabins for your guests! . The lodge is also situated near several of Maine' s best kept fishing secrets.

The lodge has small motor boats to rent, canoes and kayaks to paddle, and plenty of great fishing and hunting. With a sizable library and plenty of common space inside the lodge, this is a great place to get away from it all with a good book and a roaring fire.

great time

  • 5 of 5

Three of us stayed there for the weekend. There was plenty of room, comfortable, fire place was awesome and the wood was free for the fire, Cant get any better than that. The water was awesome, although a bit cold because of the time of year, but exhillerating. Also, the boat rental was great, we went down the lake and checked things out and went for a swim in the crystal clear water.

Great Getaway, Awesome Hospitality!

  • 5 of 5

The Lodge at Nicatous Lake was awesome. The Lodge was spacious and comfortable. There was everything at the kitchen. The view of lake was remarkable. The hospitality was just wonderful. We got to use kayaks and canoes for free all day long. Kids enjoyed fishing. It was the total vacation package. I highly recommend it to anyone.

a great experience

  • 5 of 5

This is our second year coming up to the Lodge in the Winter. This year we stayed in the newly renovated Lakeview Suite. It was clean, warm, and really easy. We had a relaxing vacation and did some x-country skiing and ice fishing.

The new owners are putting a lot of money and effort into the lodge and it shows.

Lake Nicatous and Lodge, a magical place

  • 5 of 5

Our lakeside cabin looked right down this natural wonder of a lake. A pristine body of water surrounded by tall pines with just a few cabins here and there. The main Lodge was warm, cozy and welcoming, staffed by a friendly, helpful couple who assisted us in any way we requested. We cooked our own lunches and dinners but their breakfasts, a perfect start to the day. We ice fished two days behind an island, catching fish and soaking in the winter sun!
