Great house in a great quiet location right by the beach
We (2 adults and 2 young kids) had a brilliant stay in Silvia’s villa in Kiotari. The nearest beach (memi) is 20m down a gravelly track from the front gate. This beach doesn’t have any sun beds or umbrellas on but the house has an umbrella and beach chairs, but all this meant we were sometimes the only ones on the beach (and this was in August!). We also spent some days down at the kiotari beach which has nice loungers and umbrellas (free) from Petalas and Anemos tavernas. We ate at Anemos taverna a few times and the food was excellent and the best value we found. We also ate at Stefanos which was a beautiful setting and great food as well.
The kids loved swimming and snorkelling as water is so clear, but need beach shoes in August as the small pebbles got very hot.
The house is lovely and clean and the views of the sea are brilliant - especially from the roof terrace for a morning coffee or an afternoon beer. Especially with it being so quiet and peaceful and away from all the bustle of the main towns and resorts. I’d definitely recommend a car to get around, visit beaches, get to the bakery in Gennadi etc.
