This is a beautiful, immaculate little vacation spot that has everything you could ever need. Candy and Don were so welcoming! I've stayed in a few Vrbo properties. This was far and away the best one yet.

Our hosts Don and Candy were so thoughtful and gracious. They had anticipated everything that their guests would want or need and even things we hadn’t thought of. A Shore Thing is clean, organized and decorated beautifully. The surrounding countryside is both beautiful and peaceful. This was our second visit here and we highly recommend it.

This cottage really is a hidden gem. 'A Shore Thing' sits beautifully right by a creek on the fringe of the state park, making it the ultimate peaceful retreat. The indoor living space is charming and quaint, but we spent so much of our time enjoying the enclosed porch and the absolutely gorgeous, manicured yard—it truly feels like a private paradise. To make things even better, our hosts, Candy and Don, were incredibly gracious and considerate. It was the perfect weekend getaway!

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is cute, clann and full of thoughtful Items from the hosts. Don and Candy were very welcoming and readily available if there are any issues, which there were none. Location is great for enjoying the Payson area. Would highly recommend.

Enjoyable getaway

At the gateway to the white mountains & at our 5000' elevation you will experience all four seasons. Cooler than Phoenix in summer & warmer than flagstaff in winter, yet within 2 hrs of either. If interests are: Grand Canyon & mighty Colorado river, red rocks of Sedona, petrified forest, painted desert, natural bridge(less than 10 min), meteor crater, sunset crater, ice caves, indian ruins, out of africa zoo or perhaps..Hiking, biking, snow skiing, ATV activities, zip lining or exploring many miles of trails throughout az's magnificent ponerosa forests, we have it all!
