Location was fine with respect to the beach.Disappointed with condo upkeep and quality for the $$$.
We were disappointed in the amount of money we spent on this condo for several reasons. 1.The downstairs bathroom where the washer and dryer are located had 3 areas in the floor where the subfloor had rotted. We had to keep the door closed and off limits to our the kids who are 15 mo, 9 yrs, and 13 yrs old. My foot almost when right through the floor quite a few times. 2.Even though we went through VRBO to rent this condo, we were then required to go through Dune Valley Realty to make the final payment and to pickup our keys. In one of the documents that we received from Dune Valley, it stated that this condo was equipped with cookware and cooking utensils and this is misleading. I honestly had to use my pocket knife to cut tomatoes, lettuce, and plums as I could not find a knife sharp enough in the condo to cut anything. We could not find a pot holder or oven mitt to assist us in pulling out a cookie sheet from the oven, and the pots and pans looked and cooked like they were purchased used from a thrift store. I'm not expecting the owners to leave grade A cookware for renters to use, but please leave something that we can actually use to cook meals. Our family does not eat out that much. we cook all of our meals as it pertains to breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It was impossible to cook pork chops evenly and to even fry an egg with the provided cookware. 3.The mattress that is in the master suite is old and springy. My wife and I are 33 years old and this absolutely ruined our evenings. There is no way the owners have slept on that mattress in months or they would have swapped it out. This was actually the last straw for us on our first night there. It is obvious the owners only care about their profit and nothing to do with your family's experience. 4.The last thing is the pool. Now I can't really blame the owners for this, but I want others to be aware that the pool that is for these 10 condos is tiny. I wish I had the exact measurements, but I do not. Another family brought a giant unicorn float that took up 1/4 of the pool causing us difficultly to allow our kids to swim at all. NOTE: DO NOT PURCHASE ANY TRIP INSURANCE THROUGH VRBO FOR THIS CONDO. IF YOU PURCHASE TRIP INSURANCE WHEN RENTING THIS CONDO, GO THROUGH DUNE VALLEY REALTY AS THEIR RENTAL AGREEMENT EXPLICITLY STATES A CERTAIN PROVIDER , "RED SKY TRAVEL INSURANCE" AND WERE OUT 3/4 OF OUR MONEY DUE TO THE HURRICANE SINCE WE BOUGHT THE TRIP INSURANCE RECOMMEND BY VRBO, WHICH WAS USELESS!

Please know, Dune Allen Realty is available 24/7 for anything that you may need. Had we known you need anything in the kitchen, we would have immediately brought it to you. This is a very popular unit and has been booked back to back since spring break. We are very sorry about the floor in the half bath, and it was fixed immediately after your departure (when there was a break in reservations for the work to be performed). This is the first complaint we have received on the master bedroom mattress but we will look into it. We hope that you will accept our apology, and that you will give us a second chance in the future.
Great Location, Good Bones
After staying at One Seagrove Beach for over 2 decades, needing a 3 bedroom led us to this condo. Yes, it has some age on it but the bones were good. Great a/c, large den TV, spacious, and unbeatable location - straight out to the beach. Loved it has a little screen porch too. Wasn't super crowded in late August. It's across the street from Stinky's which I worried about restaurant traffic, etc. Zero probs. The master bedroom could use darker window shades but luckily it's navy (our next door neighbor had white!) I know others have complained about upstairs sliding glass doors. We just didn't bother with them. Thanks!
Quiet beach and plenty of room
The townhome was perfect for our stay it was clean, steps away from the beach, and quiet. The master was huge and had a great balcony off of it. The other bedrooms were much smaller, but perfect for kids. Despite stormy weather our stay was great!

RIGHT on the beach. How could it be better??
This is our second year staying in this condo. We love the peace and quiet here - no noisy distractions, altho if you LIKE noisy distractions, they can be found nearby! We were pleasantly surprised to find upon our return that they had upgraded the condo with new floors, new paint, and new carpeting. As these units might be considered a little "older," it was a pleasant change, but considering the price and the location - we would have (and did!) chosen this property again, anyhow! Loved it!

Needs some TLC
Overall all we were a little disappointed with our stay. I will start with what is positive about the unit and the area. The Dune Allen portion of 30A is probably our favorite area to stay when we are in 30A. It is closer to Destin and seems less congested than areas further east. The complex as a whole we love. Easy enough access from the parking area to the unit and it is a breeze to walk from the unit to the beach or pool. This area of 30A also does not have cliffs so there are not nearly as many steps to climb.
As much as we love the area, the beach and the complex itself we did have several issues with the unit. This is extremely unfortunate because the potential is certainly there. I will start with the front door. The linoleum had bubbled up and the door would only open half-way before becoming stuck. An aggressive push would get the door open, eventually. The issue with the linoleum continued throughout the entirety of the main level. The seam had come apart and there was a 20ft long section held together with black duct-tape. A $700K condo with duct-taped floors.
Also the air conditioning unit was frozen when we arrived. We lived with this a couple of days before calling maintenance. They came and fixed the problem and said the air unit was simply so dirty from poor or no maintenance that it was no wonder it froze.
The master bedroom also had issues. The ceiling lights did not work. The ceiling fan was so loud you could not use it at night. The master suite also had two sliding doors leading to the balcony. One would not open at all and the other took both hands and desire to get outside.
There were smaller issues like outdated televisions and cable system and no clothing iron, which we had to go buy for the owner and then drive to the rental agency for reimbursement. The pool was also filthy when we arrived. Another unit called and this was addressed. Many of the boards on the complex decking need to be replaced. We found a hammer in the unit and were able to flatten some of the protruding nails. And as you may have seen on other reviews they are tackling a roach problem, but they are trying.
There was new carpet throughout the second level and the sliding door on the main level was new and opened easily.
If I am being completely honest I was disappointed with the unit. It obviously just needs some attention and care to be a great place. You cannot beat this area and we do like this complex. I am just not sure we would stay in this unit.

Please know the owner had begun doing some updates prior to your arrival, but not everything had been completed. The walls had just been repainted and the kitchen, dining room and living room “popcorn” ceilings resurfaced. Yes, new carpet was recently installed on the second level and a new living room balcony door. The owner is aware of the linoleum floor issues on the first floor and plans on replacing it before the busy season. Additionally, the front door has been repaired, as was the master balcony slider door, and the ceiling fan in the master bedroom replaced. We will share your comments about the the TVs being outdated and ask for an update. Rest assured, the proper attention will be paid to your concerns and the owner is continuing to make updates this off-season. We hope that you will accept our apology, and that you will give this condo a second chance in the future.
Beautiful beach, wonderful condo!
This condo was perfect! We had a wonderful time here, and the price was great, as well! Stayed here with our boys in March. This condo may not be for everyone, if you like the newest-of-the-new, and paying extra for all that nonsense. This is more like a cottage escape, with everything working and all in good repair, but a little more rustic. But how could you beat it - it's RIGHT ON THE BEACH, with a good wide wooden staircase to the deck, and a hose/shower to wash off the sand. Private decks on both levels - one screened in and one open, depending on your needs! Not a highly commercial area at all, so there's little interference with tourists or pedestrians, and grocery (and other) shopping is just a few minutes away. We WILL come again!
