It was beyond our expectation. This house and the background was a tropical oasis. Everyone was were so friendly, we couldn't have asked for a better vacation. And yes we will be back.

Amazing host

I have to say overall one of our best vacations jim has been one of the most responsive and understanding hosts we have ever had any changes to reservations he worked with us he got us better rates on sime things and when there was a issue with where we were placed he took care of it the resort was very nice enjoyed the food drink and activities great place to stay amazing host to have would book again

Great stay in DR

John was an excellent property manager. His listing was spot on and he was very easy to communicate with both before and during our stay. The level wrist band that comes with this rental is invaluable as it allows access to pretty much everything on the property. The property has a lot of construction going on and the villa we stayed in was older and in need of some TLC. The staff at the resort were all fabulous and our villa was clean. Electricity and hot water went out a few times during our stay and internet connection was difficult. Restaurants were all great!

Fantastic trip

The resort is beautiful, with gorgeous beaches and facilities. The villas themselves are getting dated, but it was clean and inviting. Carolina, our housekeeper and cook, was the kindest, most considerate person. I have mobility difficulties and she made accommodations for me. She kept the Villa spotless. There were some maintenance issues, but the resort attended to them quickly and efficiently. The food was good, especially the Dominican restaurant. My daughter and her husband went on an excursion with her 14-year-old son to the Damajaguas waterfall jumps and had a blast.My husband took lots of walks around the resort and on the beach. We all enjoyed the beautiful beaches, with NV being our favorite. Everyone was kind and helpful to me with my needs. As to check-in etc., Jim was fantastic. Everything went as planned. Jim was very communicative and helpful. Wonderful vacation!

Great time- owner made it even better

We arrived late (after midnight) to our villa & had to check in at a different desk than normal for villas. We weren’t given the correct villa but thanks to our owner, Jim, being on property EVERYTHING was handled promptly and more than satisfactorly. Jim, made sure we had the correct wristbands with access to cirtually everywhere. He and his wife also included mu family in their meals as well. Great getting to know them. The grounds to the property are top notch and the food at the restaurants is excellent. Be sure to try as many evening dinners at different places as possible. They are excellent. Our villa was what we had hoped with the only issue being we needed a 5 bedroom villa but instead got a 3 & 4 bedroom villa right next to each other. Not a big deal for us as our kids were young adults and just took the larger villa. We are already making plans to brong some friends down for next year. Thanks Jim & Dee for a great time!

Great villa no hot or water 2nd class treatment

Great villa unfortunately we had little to no hot water the 14 days we were there. We ran out of water 5 days. We were supposed to have a golf cart for our transport needs. NO GOLF CART the 14 days we were there. Making dinner reservations was a daily chore. Which our was supposed to be handled for us but we always found out the afternoon of the day. Even after we were upgraded to VIP status it didn’t matter. There seems to be 3 levels of service. Owners Members and Shareholders. We rented tru a share holder. The least important one on their list. So no matter what wristbands we wore didn’t make it any better for us. The resort is a great place if I go back I will make sure I rent from an owner. All the people we met in the 14 days we were at the resort the people who rented from owners got treated the best. If you see a beautiful house renting from $100 per night. Stay away from it. It’s not the place you will get. You will be treated as a second class person below the owners and members.

Villa was nice, had a good time

The 5 of us had a great time drinking on the beach and in the private pool. Jim is great to work with and provided us with detailed information about travelling to/from the resort, and things to do while at the resort. We were fortunate enough to be there at the same time as Jim, who was kind enough to show us around and take us to dinner. Positives: The villa was very clean. Rosa, our cook and cleaning lady, did a great job making breakfast. And the breakfast juices were really good. Upon arrival we each got a bottle of liquor that we chose. It was nice to have the option to drink in the villa. The entertainment at the coliseum was fun. There was a Michael Jackson tribute concert that we missed, but could hear it while swimming in our pool which was fun. Negatives: They only gave us 2 beers per room though, which was wiped out the first night. We went off the resort and bought a crate of beer to sustain us for our stay because it took them too long to restock the fridge. The shower in the upstairs bathroom would not get warm. We told the VIP person about this the first day and they sent someone to work on it but it wasn’t fixed. It wasn’t a huge deal, as we could just shower in one of the other bathrooms. The first golf cart that we were given broke down on us 3 times in the first day and a half. We asked for a replacement and the manager denied us. My husband had to argue with him for a while until they finally gave in. I wouldn’t say I am a heavy drinker, but the drinks served at the beach bars barely even got me tipsy. I was told by another patron that if you stand at the bar while they make your drinks they’ll make them stronger.

Great for first time travelers

Overall experience was good. Our issues with the Villa plumbing in the kitchen and 2 of the 5 bathrooms interrupted some plessure time. If you are securing a golf cart inspect test drive first to ensure proper operational functions exist or you will have to swap it out. The food was amazing. Tomas the host for our in Villa barbecue is highly recommended. The bottle limit for owner guests is limited to 10 bottles and is 2-shelf liquor not top shelf (Bring your preferred liquor with you). On-site Duty free os heavily overpriced. Property is safe

Excellent combination of all-inclusive resort and VRBO

First, Jim is an incredible host. Everything has exacly as advertised and his preparations prior to arrival were excellent. I've rented alot on VRBO and he is the best host I've ever had. This property is a villa on the grounds of an all-inclusive resort, so it's the best of both options at a very affordable price. Our family had our very own villa with a spacious backyard with our own pool that was cleaned daily. We had our own housekeeper, Rafaela, who took care of us throughout our trip. We had a brief interruption in the air conditioning in one room. She called on our behalf and had it fixed in a few hours while we were at the beach. We had a chef come to make us breakfast every morning. There about 5 different options (Continental, American, Dominican, Light ...) to choose from. 5 bottles of complementary spirits (vodka, tequila, etc) were left in our villa and we had the use of a golf cart free of charge during our stay. The villa was clean. Each bedroom had an en suite bathroom and shower. The villa we rented was a Crown Villa in the Lifestyle Resort in Puerta Plata, Dominican Repulbic. Complimentary private airport transfer is provided at both ends of our trip. There was a private villa check in and a VIP concierge at our disposal. These meetings were quick and easy. The reviews of the Lifestyle Resort are horrible but this was not our experience. The resort is dated but the food was good for the most part.

Great vacation

Thanks to Jim for helping our family escape the mundane everyday world responsibilities. We enjoyed our stay at the villa. The check in process was just as listed. The resort was just as pictured. We had a great time and recommend this booking.

Villa stay

My stay at this property was as advertised. Private chef prepared breakfast every morning. You had your choice of breakfast styles. Getting the golf cart was a breeze, the property real estate was next door to the lobby to get your cart. The restaurant that we had reservations at was amazing. The house was amazing. Easy access to the pool. The balcony upstairs had amazing views and very relaxing. Overall our stay was a success. The only downside was employees knocking at the door everyday asking or inviting you to do certain activities. But that’s just me. Great job Jim on setting me up for my Birthday! Maurice

Spoiled like Royalty

This has been my 2nd trip to the resort, but my first time under Jim's services. All I can say, I LOVED IT. Upon making the reservations Jim stayed in contact from start to finish. Reservations were made for a large group and due to changes we ended only with 4 people going. But the whole time, Jim was there to contact the resort about the changes. The accommodations were beyond my expectations. From wifi in the villa (which is uncommon) to a guaranteed golf cart. Upon Arrival we were picked up in a black luxury SUV from the airport, our dinner reservations were scheduled for the whole time we were there and anything we needed was taken care of. Once returned stateside, I reached out to Jim to plan my next trip using his services. The only way I will stay at the resort is if I use Jim or I become a member. Thank you soooo much for making this trip easy, smooth, and enjoyable.

Crown Villa 8/2023

Jim was a great host. I was able to communicate with him prior to the trip and once I arrived at the resort. We were picked up in a Mercedes limousine bus at the airport which had 10 other guests going to the resort. I had 5 people total in my group and had reserved a 5 bedroom villa. At check in, I was attended to by Dominga who stated we only have notification of 3 in your party and a 3 bedroom. I told her that was not possible and needed to be fixed. She went to speak with the manager. She told me they were looking into the manner. In the meantime, speak with the concierge services about dinner reservations that evening. There was only one person working and about 4 people in line. Fortunately I was next. During my 30 minute wait, I contacted Jim our host. He said he would call and see what he could do. Another person was arguing with the concierge service about the same bedroom issue for their multiple guests. After getting a dinner reservation, I went back to the check in desk and Dominga said they were still working on it and disappeared. Now I know why there is a full service bar in the lobby. After an hour, I went to ask another person and was told we were assigned a 5 bdrm villa. We went to the villa and were astonished. Full kitchen stocked with beer, soda and water, 5 bathrooms, 5 bedrooms, private pool, outdoor kitchen and a large patio. Continued review elsewhere. Host, Resort,Villa,Beach staff, Clara our Maid who is also the chef great. My Concierge, Saury bad.

Jim was great! The service at the resort could improve

I would like to start by saying that Jim the host was great to work with and I do not think that he intentionally misrepresented this resort. Once we arrived at the airport our stretch limo, which I didn't realize we were getting, was amazing and stocked with champaign and beer! Great all around. Once we got to Lifestyle Holiday Resort check in was pretty smooth... We got in and dropped off bags freshened up and headed out to explore. The next day is when all the problems started to arrive. This particular house had multiple issues ranging from AC(they said they couldn't fix), no water in shower, no stove oven(for our in house breakfast each morning), pool was super tiny and stone was falling off, wifi wouldn't work in this particular villa, and some other minor things. We went to thevl office and at this point it took a tour of the property(its a timeshare and I expected them to try to sell, and that was fine) and about 3 hrs of complaining to get moved. They finally moved us from the 5 bedroom we were given(actually 6 with the hidden room, which would have allowed the couple that ended up booking a separate 1 bed suite across the resort because they said they didn't have a 6 bedroom to stay with us) to 2 side by side 3 bedroom villas. Things improved at this point!!! My main complaint for this resort is that with it being a timeshare there are multiple levels. Owner, members, guest, guest of memeber/owner. Again that is fine but I do not think that they are transparent with the members about what their guest will receive when they book through them. We didn't have access to about half of what was listed. So I think transparency from the resort is main issue here. 2nd issue is they actually treat you differently if you do not have on an owners bracelet. We saw this 1st hand as the couple I mentioned earlier booked through an owner. We have Member Guest bracelets. AGAIN I do not think Jim intentionally misrepresented. I think they have failed to inform him of what to tell his guest to expect. On a good note the cleanliness FOOD were amazing! That gets 5 stars! Thank you again Jim!

Best vacation ever

This was one of the best vacations we ever had. The Villa was spectacular. We had our own private pool with waterfall. We had our own golf cart to get around, which was very helpful. It was More than we could of imagined. The house keeper/Chef was amazing, she prepared an excellent breakfast every morning and brought beautiful flowers. The villa was kept very clean and pool was kept up with every day. We had complimentary drinks and fresh fruit every day at the villa. The resort was very beautiful and very large. It had everything for the whole family. I would highly recommend staying at the villa and going to OceanWorld. Jim was very responsive to all my texts and had everything handled perfectly. He is a very gracious host. I will definitely be booking another trip with Jim.

Jim was great, the resort staff werent accomodating

Jim was amazing from begining to end, he really was always available to help us out as much as he can on his end. This is a resort, you dont get what you see in the pictures. The management team are only accomadating if you buy a timeshare. We didnt get the ocean world tickets and didnt get the 6 or 5 bedroom house we originally booked. They split us into 2 diff homes. This does NOT reflect Jim it was out of his control. Thank you Jim for doing your best. Lifestyle resort should treat all guests equally. We loved it and were looking to buy a house but after the way lifestyle staff treated us we were turned off.

Great Vacation

Jim was great at communicating and helping the trip come together. I will definitely use Jim's properties in the future. Just a few negatives .. 1) AC was not working in a few rooms. 2) No VIP bracelet .. not a problem since most VIP places were closed due to Covid Overall the property was great. Daily breakfast and maid service helped. We were very close to the beach and golf cart really helped.
