It exceeded our expectations.
The location and the home were great.
And our host was superb.
Highly recommend !!
A friend and I hosted a retreat in the area and stayed at Casa da Machete as our private home base twice during the month of September. We were in the area to photograph the wild horses in the national park. The house was SO well restored and had everything we needed to be comfortable and well-rested for our clients. The owners are fantastic and responsive to any needs or requests. When we go back with another group, it'll be our first choice for accommodations. PS. This area of Portugal is a paradise off the beaten path!
