About Jerry Eulentrop
My wife and I, along with our 6 children, live year-round right next door to this property. I grew up enjoying the recreational benefits of the river and we were able to purchase our current residence in 2006 and moved to our newly constructed home in 2010.
Jerry Eulentrop purchased this Cabin in 1954
Why Jerry Eulentrop chose Lincoln County
My father bought the property in 1954 and while our permanent home was in the northwest suburbs of St. Louis I grew up boating, skiing and fishing on the river. There is much history and many great stories (many actually true!) and when you come stay be sure to ask me for a few. In Linus's 60 years on this part of the river he became much beloved (by most anyway) and certainly left his mark on and in the river (as evidenced by a truck that is still sitting at the bottom of the river). We hope you'll forge indelible and fond memories as we share a place that holds innumerable memories for us.
What makes this Cabin unique
There is something captivatingly tranquil about a large majestic body of water gently flowing by. It allows you to release a huge sigh, relax and let the cares of the world roll off. So, kick off your shoes and relax, or go out and cut loose on any of the many recreational activities the river affords. But come and enjoy a good time at Linus's Clubhouse!

Relaxing Stay at Linus' Clubhouse!!
Enjoyed a long weekend at this cute property! Very clean, nicely appointed (unreal how well stocked the kitchen was - we always eat in so this was much appreciated!), and the view ... nothing as relaxing as sitting on the porch and watching the river flow by! The only thing 'missing' were the option of shading some of the windows. Normally had them wide open to appreciate the view but for someone using the very comfortable sofa sleeper, having the option to shut out the early morning sun would have been nice. Definitely hope to return!
Wendy and I are so glad you enjoyed it. That is a great suggestion about shading the windows. Thanks for making it.

The views of the river were spectacular. The house had everything we needed and wanted. The homeowners were friendly and responded quickly to our questions. It felt like a home away from home.
Great river retreat!
There's nothing more relaxing than natural flowing water! This is without a doubt the perfect place to enjoy the Mississippi River. It has every amenity you could possibly want and more in a very quiet location. We hope to return sometime soon!
HAD TO COME BACK
This was our second time at the clubhouse and although the weather wasn't the best, we still enjoyed our stay. We hope to be back a couple of times in 2018! Chris & John
The house is very nice, clean and comfortable, and well equipped. The view of the Mississippi kept us on the porch from sunrise to sunset both days. Plenty of peace and quiet, good conversation, and games of checkers. Fortunately, with enough whining, my wife let me win a few games. We saw eagles and hummingbirds and watching the barges was fascinating. The owners are very accommodating and welcoming. Linus's clubhouse is river life at its best, and we hope to come back. Thanks !
It was great to get to know you a bit and thanks for choosing Linus's Clubhouse!

It was lovely!
Beautiful view... very relaxing. Cabin was stocked with everything we needed.
Wendy and I are so happy you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for choosing Linus's Clubhouse as part of your solar eclipse experience!
A beautiful spot on the Mississippi immediately south of the Winfield Lock and Dam #25 with great fishing and boating, or just relaxing. Winters include tremendous opportunities to watch the eagles with direct views to an eagle sanctuary. Views of the Illinois bluffs change with the seasons, but come alive vibrantly with an explosion of autumn colors.
