About Marty & Kerry Mullane
Spent years vacationing in northern Michigan as a child. We vacationed in this home last summer with our lab, Marley. When it went up for sale we partnered with a long time friend who lives in the area and snapped it up. This is a charming home on Park Ave surrounded by Earl Young 'mushroom' homes. We plan to keep this home for many to enjoy.
Marty & Kerry Mullane purchased this Cottage in 2014

We spend a great deal of time on the enclosed front porch. Perfect place to read a book, catch up with old friends while sharing a morning coffee or evening glass of wine! The large deck at the back of the house has a a grill and picnic table. You'll love all the hardwood trim and floors. Bring the pup!

Great place to stay in an excellent location.
Property owners were great to work with. Would recommend to friends.
Glad you enjoyed your stay during a snowy weekend!
Beautiful beach access right across the street. Easy walking distance to town, park and marina. Lots of room in the house and a great front porch and deck. We go back here to stay every year.
Thank you for your kind review and thank you for being a repeat renter!
Property was perfect. Location was excellent. Had everything that we needed.
Had an amazing week at this very charming home right across the street from Lake Michigan and walking distance to downtown Charlevoix. Ample space. Clean and comfortable.
Thank you for writing a review and for staying at our cottage. We also love everything about Charlevoix!
Our family of 10 enjoyed our stay at this cottage. We could all gather on the airy front porch or back deck to visit with views of Lake Michigan through the trees. We liked being able to walk to town, to the public beach, and along Lake Michigan by Boulder Park. Younger family walked down steep steps across road to beach and older ones by way of public beach. Dining room was good for dinners and games. Space is rather tight for 10 but we made it work and had a good time. Need a door to close between kitchen and room with sofa bed.
Thank you for staying at our cottage and for writing a review. We too would like to add a door between the kitchen and family room for more privacy and we plan to address that this winter. Glad you enjoyed Charlevoix.
Exactly as described.
This cottage was a fabulous vacation location. I am hesitant to be too positive, because it will add to the people we will compete with if we want to return next year. The cottage is an older home, so it has the quirks of an older home, but the owners have made up for that by keeping it immaculate and well stocked. There were plenty of sheets, towels, & blankets. Also, although it may be a little thing, there were ample supplies of toilet paper, paper towels and napkins. The kitchen had a microwave, toaster oven, slow cooker & coffee pot, in addition to oven, dishwasher and disposal. They had games available. The city of Charlevoix was a very friendly town with a several playgrounds & beach options within a 2 mile radius, which was great for us, because we had toddler. Many were within walking distance. Finally, I have to say that the owners of this house were always available to answer any question we had, and I'm assuming would also be responsive to any problem-- but we didn't have a single thing that we were unhappy with.
Thank you for renting our cottage and for writing a review. We too love Charlevoix and all it has to offer.
Lake feel without the lake price
5 of us late 20's early 30's stayed in the house. Very well accommodated, the location was nice, a short walk to down town made it awesome for a evening walk to get some ice cream. A couple hundred feet away is Lake Michigan with an easy path to navigate. The place was a, its hard to say a bit dated because thats not true, could use a few upgrades. But that's what gives it the feel of a upnorth cottage. Beds were comfy and plenty of blankets and linens. Overall we all enjoyed the place and would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
Thank you for writing a review of our cottage in Charlevoix. We are glad you enjoyed your stay there. We love the location too - that's the main reason we choose this cottage. Thank you again.
Unique shops, galleries, cozy cafes all set against the backdrop of Lake Michigan and Round Lake. Beautiful park overlooking the marina which hosts outdoor concerts, movies, fairs, & festivals. Charlevoix is one hour drive to Mackinac City where you can take a ferry ride to Mackinac Island - a fun day trip!
