Peace on the Lake...close to Downtown Charlevoix

The quaint town of Charlevoix is about 10-12 minutes away. Charlevoix is located on the shores of Lake Michigan. The bridge in the town raises and lowers every hour to allow for boats to travel back and forth from Lake Michigan to Round Lake which then leads to Lake Charlevoix. A lot of things to do on any of these lakes. East Jordan is another small town nearby, that is also on the shores of Lake Charlevoix. Actually, there are many nice towns with there own identity throughout this northern area of Michigan.

This is truly a wonderful place. The house is charming and clean and very well stocked! The lake is perfect for swimming and relaxing. It is a very dog friendly setting and our two pups had a blast. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Amazing Winter Wonderland

Perfect July Family Stay

Perfect location for our family of 6 to enjoy beautiful lake, plenty of water activities, gorgeous woods, peaceful sunsets. Short drives to Charlevoix and Petoskey. House is bright and welcoming, amazing deck, every amenity is thought of for guests. The master suite on lower level is perfect. Very comfortable bedrooms and living spaces. We look forward to coming back!

Best VRBO ever!!

This was by far our best place to stay! Aaron is the best host! He gives great detailed instructions so finding the place was super easy. You will not find a better place with the amenities he offers. Peace on the Lake is the most accurate description of this property. Very clean, beds are super comfortable, water pressure and temperature were unbelievable! The shower with the steam blew us away! What a special treat that was! ❤️ Our dogs loved laying on the deck and we loved the doggie door access and fenced yard for them. The driveway was a beautiful walk that our fur babies enjoyed and you are 15 minutes to downtown Charlevoix. Location is perfect for seeing the Mushroom houses, Castle Farms, Petoskey, Boyne and Lake Michigan. We can't wait to book again!

Amazing place

We stayed here while attending a wedding at Castle Farms. The location was great, close to venue, close to town, places to eat and Lake Michigan. House is secluded so even though you are close to everything it feels like you are not. The view from deck to lake is amazing. We brought our dogs and the host was so welcoming of them with dog bowls set out and a perfect fenced area connections to deck allowing the dogs to stay outside with us without worrying about them wandering off into the woods. House was well stocked and very comfortable. So nice to have gas fireplaces the light with a flick of a switch. Lots of non motorized options to enjoy the lake with. This house really has everything! We will definitely be back!

A Wonderful Week

We have rented cottages all over Traverse City, Petoskey and Harbor Spring for years and we agree that this was our favorite stay ever. Such a lovely, and well stocked cottage with a spectacular view. We enjoyed kayaking and paddle boating with the local Loon family, spent countless hours on the spacious and private deck, and visited the quaint city of Charlevoix a few times. It was the perfect place to rest and recharge. Aaron is an amazing and thoughtful host. Highly recommend!

Perfect northern Michigan getaway

We had an incredible family vacation at Peace on the Lake. The property was very clean and well stocked with everything we could need. Access to the lake was great! Our 5 year old golden retriever had the best time of his life swimming every day. We cannot wait to return again soon.

Great break

Loved the house. Everything you need to have a relaxing break. Did some hiking due to no snow but loved the location could sit in front of the gas fireplace all day and just relax.

Enjoyed Peace on the Lake

We were looking for a place to get away from the hustle of work and the suburbs. Peace on the Lake met this need with flying colors. Great privacy overlooking a private lake, but still close to shopping in Charlevoix and a variety of state parks. The host communicated well and the chalet was well stocked. Highly recommended.

Absolutely Amazing!!

The property is simply exquisite! The serenity and peacefulness is unmatched. Truly our best family vacation. Great fishing from the dock (bass, pike, sunfish), kayaking, paddle boating, swimming, hiking/running to name a few of the wonderful activities. The deck is amazing with an outdoor patio and very comfortable chairs/recliners. The home and amenities were the best; Aaron has thought of everything! Very clean and updated home with so much room! Having charlevoix a 10 minute drive away was a great perk. A perfect trip. Can’t wait to come back!!
