Welcome to a spacious, humble, and comfortable beach house at 809 Carolina Blvd for your next trip to the Isle of Palms. This home is a Sunday to Sunday Rental Only During Summer Months and the rental portion of the home is the Upstairs Level of a Duplex Style House. Please note that there may be tenants who are renting the space on the lower level of the duplex. All guests know that there is shared parking on the premises.

With an open layout featuring different areas for cooking, dining, living, and sleeping, you can enjoy the space while vacationing with your group. The house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms with ample space for up to six guests. Enjoy the proximity to the beach so you can save your commute time and hit the waves all day long. This fully furnished house has all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay.

There is plenty of natural sunlight and fresh air entering into the airy house, making it a perfect beach paradise for a small group. The living room has a comfortable couch where you can hang out with your folks while watching a movie or show on the television. The high-speed internet access can be convenient for completing your work assignments or uploading photos on social media. You will not be forced to drag a pile of your dirty beach clothes all the way back to your house, as this vacation rental has an in-unit washer and dryer.

Some of the other amenities that can ensure a comfortable stay include central air-conditioning, central heating, and free parking. Located on the upper level of a duplex house, it has open sunrooms at the front and back of the house where you can enjoy your morning coffee while admiring the coastal scenery. Convenient location is one of the key highlights of this house. You can easily find many restaurants, bars, cafes, and stores in the neighborhood. If you prefer to cook your own meals, you can use the fully equipped kitchen featuring cookware, utensils, and basic appliances. Here, you can find appliances like a microwave, refrigerator, oven, cooking range, coffee maker, and toaster. Please note that there is NOT a dishwasher. The spacious dining table can be a perfect spot to eat your home cooked meals while making the most of your free time away from home. The bedrooms offer a relaxing and warm ambiance for a good night's sleep. The bathrooms are fully furnished with a sink, shower, and cabinets for your convenience.

This home is dog friendly. Dogs are considered with a $300 non-refundable pet fee (per pet up to a 14 night stay), applicable pet policy signed, and flea proof records received prior to arrival. Dog must be approved by Carroll Realty. Absolutely no cats or other animals are allowed. Any damages caused by the pet will be charged to the pet owner, and not paid by the pet fee. The backyard is not fenced in and is not advertised for guest's use.

A few important notes to be aware: NO HOUSE PARTIES. NO SMOKING. No exceptions! There is a very strict noise ordinance policy on the island that goes into effect at 10pm on weeknights and 11pm on weekend nights. The 3 car limit is also strictly enforced. This house is a family rental and is located near year-round residents. This is not a rental home for bachelor/bachelorette events, wedding groups, youth groups, fraternities/sororities, receptions, or any other types of larger gatherings. We do NOT rent to students or anyone under the age of 25 - no exceptions - even if a parent or legally responsible adult makes the reservation. If such a group occupies or attempts to occupy the property, they will be required to immediately vacate and there will be NO refunds given. Pets only allowed with a non-refundable $300 pet fee (per dog) and proof of flea medication.Absolutely no cats or other animals are allowed.

Everything was awesome, except there is mold growing on the ceiling in the back section of the house, and there was obviously pet dander issues on the living room furniture in the front. Other than that, really good house in a great location.

Good time cozy cottage

We came from Virginia, and Ohio to enjoy Isle of Palms. We were not disappointed. What a lovely little beach town. I didn’t bring a chair. we sure do hate to leave. Thanks for the good time. Thank you to our gracious hosts. We hope to visit again soon.

Perfect Location

This is what a "beach house" is supposed to be: full of character and good vibes. I don't remember other VRBO's and hotels I've stayed in because they didn't have this kind of character. A hotel room is a hotel room is a hotel room. If you want to experience the fantasy of what it's like living close to the beach, this is the VRBO for you. Will definitely stay again.

Great location

Good spot for a weekend getaway. Comfortable and with all the needed amenities. A little dated, but the price was good. Some Palmetto bugs roaming around the house and across the bed while I was dozing off, but I'm guessing that is not uncommon this time of year. Some of the same issues noted in other reviews (mold on rafters couple spots where the flooring is soft). Otherwise, comfortable, and communication with the management company was straight forward and prompt. Would stay again knowing all of the above. Very well located close to coffee spots, good eating options, grocery store, wind jammer, VFW and beach.

Good place, great ocation

The hose was fine but confusing when it came to the lights, ac, and random items. There was noticeable mold growing on the ceiling in the addition in the back of the house and some basic upkeep would be well served. But we did not have any issues with the property. The location is great and easy walk to beach and downtown area.

Perfect for my group

We traveled here for a baseball tournament at the Shipyard. The house is absolutely perfect for the 3 adults and 3 kids. VERY short walk to the beach. The inside of the home is not luxurious but that isn’t our style anyway. It’s very beachy and a great place to stay. The home met our needs for the week. Side note…the listing says there is someone living underneath the property but we only saw him once. It was almost like no one was there at all. No issues whatsoever.

Change of scenery

Location and cleanliness were great. We were not expecting 5 star but everything was extra cheap. Especially the mattress, sheets, and pillows. We had to purchase pillows, sheet would not stay on bed and mattress was very average. We also had to purchase a tea pot which is probably gone by now(we left it). Just a lot of little things that are not conducive to comfort which would not cost much at all. There isn't even a place to put silverware after you wash it(no dishwasher). If the owner was to stay there, they would buy that stuff in a minute. Otherwise we were very happy there. Great location and comfortable enough.

Mixed feelings…

The place was clean and had pretty much everything you’d need however the check in process was absolutely terrible and there were a couple issues within the house. There were no keys left for us and the realty company tried to pass this off as our fault. Broken kitchen table chair legs with ragged sharp edges, soft spots in the floor in several places inside and the decking outside.

A COVID New Years

Staying during COVID we were expecting to cook for all our meals. The kitchen is tiny and there isn't much work space. Also, there isn't a dishwasher which is fine but the dry rack doesn't have a drip pan under it and so all the dishes drain onto the only worksurface for prepping food. Also, the internet is crap. It doesn't work. All of our devices only connected one time and then it wouldn't connect after the device went to sleep, super frustrating especially when you bring a streaming device to connect to the TV and it only worked once. Another thing is it is a charge if you leave the TV on the wrong source, like what the heck, $$$ to hit a button?!? Absurd! For the price we paid to stay I really would have loved for the internet to actually work. Location was what we were looking for, but the internet didn't work and there isn't a damn switch to find in the addition on the back, no way to turn the lights on.

Needs some major work.

We came into a soak floor due to a whole in the ceiling. The floors were covered in sand and dirt. The oven was nasty and required cleaning. The whole place stunk of age. The furniture was old but somewhat comfortable. The beds were the only nice thing in the house. The oven only worked if you turned on more than 1 burner at a time. There was no temperature dial on the oven so you had no clue what temp you were cooking at. The microwave worked but you could not see the times you were setting. This is a duplex but the person below us appears to live there full time and snored all night and could be heard as if they were sleeping next to you. The washer and dryer are located in the master bath but they are out of the way and worked great. The location is great. It is just a 2 min walk to the beach that was not at all crowded. As well as a 5 minute walk to the IOP shopping area and restaurants. I personally would not recommend staying at this location until they have done some upgrades in the Kitchen, general maintenance, a deep and thorough cleaning as well as some upgrades to the furnishings. If you choose this location, bring extra bedding if you don't like the cold. There is little to no bedding on the beds and no extra bedding that we could find. You only get 2 towels per room so you can either bring more or use the washer and dryer. There is no dishwasher so bring extra kitchen towels.

September beach time

We appreciated that the kitchen was adequately stocked for use, the house gave us easy access to the beach, and we slept comfortably in the bedrooms. There was no easy way to rinse off feet or bodies to enter the house from the beach, and this could be easily and inexpensively rectified by installing a new hose with a nozzle. What is there now is leaky, broken and inadequate. We also think that Carroll Realty, or the owners, should replace the rollup bamboo shades that cover most of the windows in the house. They are dirty, broken and largely un-useable, and it makes for a dark house. Our favorite room ended up being the front porch, which is not air conditioned, but which is very light-filled and comfortable to sit in once the windows are open. But these windows also need some TLC, as they are dirty and have broken or missing screens. The grounds were also somewhat littered with cigarette butts. All in all, we found our stay there enjoyable and adequate. The repairs needed are relatively minor but will make a qualitative difference.

The property was filthy, has electrical outlet problems, and did not have the two televisions the write up said. We contacted Carroll Reality about the outlets and they did not acknowledge nor reply to the three messages we left. The person who lives downstairs blocked the only entrance to the sidewalk. He moved his car and golf cart after we complained to the rental agency. We expected cozy and got filthy instead.

Classic Beach House

Exterior looked bad, but interior had classic beach feel. It was clean and well appointed, but kitchen was very small and we missed havining a dishwasher. Bedrooms (all 3) were good size, bathrooms (2) small, but functional. The beach equipment supplied with the rental was excellent, especially the cart, which was necessary given the "fourth row" location.

Great location.... Need to work on privacy

This property is super close to the ocean (a block and a half a way) and within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The main complaint is that the property owner doesn't seem to understand that people are paying to be at the house. We came with our truck and trailer (golf cart on it) and we parked it in the driveway that lead to the backyard (no vehicles back there and no indication stating where to park or not to park) about an hour or so after parking a stranger knocked on out door telling us that he is a family friend and that we have to move our vehicle.... No issue but the next night we looked outside and there was a truck pulled over in the driveway with about 4 or 5 cop cars behind him. Apparently it was the son of the property owners and his friends who were trying to get out of being arrested at about 10 o'clock at night. While accidents happen, one of the individuals renting the room with me walked down to try to make sure everything was OK (we had a 6 year old with us and wanted to make sure it was safe), he was patted down and questioned also-to prove that he had no association with the individuals being arrested. While the trip was generally wonderful having interruptions directly related to the owners were somewhat distasteful.

Location was fantastic. Property needs a major face-lift . House needs major remodeling work. Air conditioning couldn't keep up. Carroll Realty took care of this by installing a window unit. Cleanliness of property was poor!!

Cozy beach house @ Isle of Palms

My family really enjoyed staying here. My daughters loved riding the bikes to the beach and the Fourth of July parade on our street with all of the golf carts was so cute .

Our visit was good.

There was a toothbrush and toothpaste in the shower, the shower door was/is broken, the a.c. didnt work very good, there was dried up contact lenses on the bed side table so we have to wonder how good it's actually cleaned between people. But it was a cute little home and we really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect, convenient to the beach and shops.

Some work needs to be done. Fairly clear for the most part, but it needs a deep cleaning.

The back ceiling needs work and the floors were kind of dirty. There was also no dishwasher? Or wifi. Though, both were advertised as being there. Location was great, though.

Island of Palms best kept secret

Our family of five had the best time here. The home is perfect. Just what you would expect in a SC beach house. Beach and business district just around the corner. Walk to everything including the grocery store. Bring your own games. We will return as soon as we can.

Good Location but needs some improvements

This cottage has ample space in both the common areas and the bedrooms. The kitchen is very small and not very well equipped. The eyes of the stove and the oven leave much to be desired. The AC which is installed in the back common area is not properly installed. It kept the area cool but there were open spaces at the window. The WiFi had been changed and there was no notification in the cottage of the new network or password. The cottage is located near the beach and it is an easy walk. The cottage was clean and fairly well maintained over all. Also would suggest adding an additional TV in the back common area. If the kitchen and the AC was improved we would return to this cottage.

Reservations made and cancelled within 24 hours will be refunded in full. After 24 hours, our cancellation policy goes into effect. Reservations cancelled 6 months prior to arrival will be refunded in full. If a reservation is cancelled less than 6 months prior to arrival, a full deposit refund less a $100.00 booking fee will be made only if the unit is re-rented for the same time and price, and at a pro-rated rate if only rented for the partial amount. The guest will be responsible for the difference in price if re-rented at a lower rate. We do offer and strongly encourage every traveler to purchase travel insurance as well for an added 10.8% or 7% charge depending on which plan you select. If accepted, the 10.8% travel insurance plan must be paid in full within 14 days of making a reservation or you may add the 7% plan up until 30 days prior to your arrival date or final payment is paid, whichever comes first. Travel insurance covers every guest scheduled to come on the trip. Please call us for more information or visit our website for detailed plan information. Upon arrival, if you do not accept the unit you have reserved your deposit will be forfeited.

Power/ weather related cancellation: Carroll Realty does not issue refunds due to acts of nature such as: weather, road conditions, snow conditions, power outages, or forest fires. Additionally, Carroll Realty will not issue refunds in the event of a pandemic (for example, Covid-19) or acts of nature such as a hurricane. In light of these events, we strongly urge every reservation to purchase one of the two travel insurance plans that we offer. Hurricane season technically runs from June through October, but is especially more prone to occur in our area from late August through early October.
