Enjoy fine dining and play golf at the historic Big Trees Lodge (formerly The Wawona Hotel), go horseback riding, fishing, enjoy Ranger walks and talks, or visit the Living History Center/Pioneer Village. In the fall, the colors are spectacular as you enjoy the walking path around the golf course of the nearby historic Big Trees Lodge. See the nearby famous Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias. In the winter, the family-friendly Yosemite Ski and Snowboard Area (formerly Badger Pass Ski Area) offers snowshoeing, snowboarding, skiing, cross-country ski tours, and in Yosemite Valley enjoy the outdoor ice skating rink. Great cabin at an amazing location!
We were so lucky to have found this cabin at the very last minute (by Yosemite standards, which was 5 mos before stay). The cabin was spacious and comfortable. We loved it and will definitely be coming back!
Coyle's Cabin was Great
No issues, just as advertised. Only problem was, we should have planned to stay longer.
Thank you for your review! Hopefully next time you will be able to stay longer. Come back again soon!
all you can ask for in vacation home.
very cozy and inviting place.
will definitely come back.
Thank you for your review. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay at the cabin. We do hope to see you again soon.!
Nice cottage in the middle of Yosemite
Good location (middle of Yosemite), but also close to other houses and to a market. Clean and a well maintained. Not many dishes. I recommend for children and family.
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are glad you enjoyed your time in the cabin and Yosemite! We hope to see you back again soon.
One of our favorite cabins!
We love Cabin 40!! It is bigger than we need (two couples), but there are so many things we enjoy about this cabin, especially the kitchen (except for the knives - terrible)!! We also enjoy the short walk down to the river and to Chilnualna Falls. One suggestion I would make would be to add a Blu-Ray player. They are not that expensive, and those of us who have all Blu-Ray discs would like to be able to play them in the evenings by the wonderful fireplace.
Thank you for your review! We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. I will pass on your suggestion to the owners. Hope to see you again soon!
Perfect for hiking group
We are a group of 6 adults who live to hike. We chose this place because of its proximity to Yosemite valley. Nothing is "close" but we never minded the drive to the valley, Glacier Point, and Tuolumne Meadows because the scenery is so beautiful. The house itself is fine and the kitchen well stocked with cooking hardware. Our only two comments are that the beds are hard (easily fixed by putting down blankets) and the wifi is very weak. Emails are fine but only one person can be on the Internet at a time. However, about a hundred feet away is the property manager building and you can access their internet when sitting on the porch. We didn't see this as a big issue as we were there to disconnect anyway but for those of you who must be connected it may be an issue. We would definitely use this property again. Some of the neighbors are park rangers.
Thank you for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay in our cabin.
We are in the process of getting new beds by the first of the year. And we have ordered the new updated Internet service for this area, which should be improve the WIFI service immensely.
