The property is in the heart of the city within walking distance of most tourist attractions, shops, market place, restaurants and bars. From Monday to Friday the area is relatively quiet but expect to experience the enthusiastic and boisterous atmosphere during the weekend as in any vibrant city centre. Norwich is a quiet idyllic historic city with great walks, hidden passages and river boat rides during the day. At night bars and restaurants are alive with activity.
The Apartment upstairs @ The Ribs of Beef is one of Norwich’s most popular City Centre pub. The building came about as early as 1743 overlooking the River Wensum Norwich city centre. How this property differs is that you can go self catering or opt to dine in the bar/dinning room that serves a range of cask ales from all over the UK and traditional inn keepers food and wines “the city’s favourite local”. The apartment above the Inn has it own private entrance. You also have access to the beer garden, main bar and boat mooring terrace.
Please note, your are placed in the middle of the city where all the action happens. Friday / Saturday nights are an orchestral sound of the city. Sunday night the life band in the bar from 5.00 pm until 8.00 pm is very loud it's best that you go down to the bar and enjoy as you will get very little respite in the apartment. Some people have said they stay up in the apartment and enjoy a private gig in the comfort of the sitting room.
The area is a mix of tourist, pubs, bars and cafe, lots of nice walks and the Norwich Cathedral is two minutes walk away and Norwich castle is 5 minutes. Walking is the fastest away to get around the historic city. Re parking, we can park your car 10 minutes walk from the property.
