I was traveling with four adults, a teenager and a dog. The cabin was perfect for the five of us. Communication was very prompt with Laura. I would definitely stay here again.

A great base of operations. Kitchen very well appointed. The surrounding quiet is impressive. The lake is no more than 5 minutes walk away. However, there was no float when we got there (pre-Labor Day) and lake access is more boat launch than beach. This (minor) disappointment was more than made up for by the closeness to hiking trails in the Kennebec Highlands. A few very minor caveats: the door code worked once only - usually had to use the key; the stairs take getting used to for an elderly (but fit) person.

Hi Walter. Thanks for the review. Glad you enjoyed your stay. It seems you may only have found the boat launch just down the street from the cottage. The association beach is further along, about an 8 minute walk and does have a swim area with float and dock. Sorry if you missed that! The lock box for the key is only to store the key, it doesn't open the door ;)

Adorable cabin with all the modern conveniences. Rustic, fully functional and cozy. My boys loved chopping already chopped logs and filling the wood stove, then complaining that it was too hot. Thanks for the dusting of April snow, it was the perfect addition to our northern experience! Such a fun spot.
