Family getaway to Fenwick
We were a group of 8 adults who decided to go to Fenwick/OCMD last minute for a family weekend. So lucky to have found this place, as they allowed us to bring our pets and the location was terrific. The house was large enough for everyone to spread out and was so cozy - loved all the unique shore decor touches. The location to the beach was an added bonus, especially since we could take the dogs in the off-season - they loved it! Perfect weekend, perfect stay. Will do it again.
Family Reunion at the Break
We had a great time! The townhouse is centrally located and the owner gave us excellent recommendations for food and drinks. The kitchen is well stocked and there were plenty of linens and towels - no need to bring your own. We encountered a leak in the sink and the owner was there within minutes to fix it. Will definitely consider staying again the next time we are in town.
Location location location
We could walk to the beach. Enjoyed the water park several days. Woke up to some great restaurants and Dunkin’ and enjoyed many evenings at the local eateries. So great!
This was a great rental close to the beach and Ocean City & Rehoboth, but far enough from both towns to be quieter than staying in either. Clarke was great at providing information and the house was clean, ready, and well stocked. The only negative was some of the knick knacks in the tiki room had some stereotype overtones that made some in our party uncomfortable (e.g., “native” caricatures and political items). To be clear: great house, great location, great owner response.
Great beach house for my family.
We have been staying at The Break for many years. Always a great family vacation.
First things first. The beach is huge, no sitting on top of your
neighbor or strangers...clean and patrolled diligently by our own
Fenwick Island Life Guards.
The unigue thing about Fenwick Island is that it truely is a walk or bike community.
Plenty of foodies delights - One Coastal is the local's favorite restaurant, right across the parking lot. It's the bomb for dinner, Carlie and Scott will take care of all culinary needs.. , Oceanside's Pizza, Surf's Edge subs , Nantucket's Bar munchies and drop by and see our friend Gabbi at Mancini's Italian Restaurant. For the sweet tooth - Candy Kitchen is a block south and my sister Michelle is the manager. In the Fenwick Village across Ocean Hwy you need to start your mornings with a shot of expesso and monkey bread at the 3BB's try Twilly's Back Deck for the local's dining and bar scene. Farm fresh local Ice cream at Vanderwende's and get your sushi fix satiated at The Flying Fish.
Fisher's Popcorn and Kohrs soft yogurt cone are 2 blocks south.
Plenty of local activities open year round. Putt putt golf, Thunder Lagoon Waterpark, Kenny's Fenwick Island Surf Shop, Jay's FI Bike Shop, see Michelle at Indigo Octopus, FI Fishing & Bait Shop and Liquor store are on the corner adjacent to townhouse and all under the watchful beam of light from the historic Fenwick Island Lighthouse.

What makes this Condo unique
We choose Fenwick Island because it is truly a family resort. A unique and safe place where a bike is the preferred mode of transportation. Small but complete with a diverse assortment of activities for recreation, dining or just relaxing, all within walking distance.
