What I wish I would have known before booking

The proximity to the beach and the screened in lanai overlooking the beach are outstanding. What a view! However, I would have liked to have known before booking for two months that there are no bedside tables in the bedroom on which to place a reading lamp, glasses, phone, etc. Additionally, the box springs and mattress were sitting directly on the floor, making the bed extremely low and uncomfortable. There are glass tile blocks on the wall between the bedroom and bathroom; hence if the bathroom light is turned on in the middle of the night, it lights up the bedroom. As pictured there is lanai furniture but the paint is peeling off and lands in your lap or forearms every time you sit at it. I wish I would have known all this information before committing to two months at this property at a very high rate.

Mold/mildew

We really like the access to the beach and pool. We rented there in July and there was black mold growing in the bathroom. The owner came and sprayed a kaboom that you can get at any store. I think the issue is underlying. My husband was having eye irritation by the middle of the week and my daughter was struggling with her asthma. The floors were very dusty and there was a lot of lizard poop on the floors as well. There were ants in the kitchen. We had to wipe down the walls in the kitchen as well as the inside of the refrigerator. The ice maker didn’t work and they were no ice trays. It would have been nice to have a washer and dryer in the condo itself. Owner was apologetic and wanted to make us happy, but I felt like we should have been refunded a little money. Also, we were with other families that paid much less than we did for a 2 and 3 bedroom condo.

Winter Getaway

A great location, right on the beach, with a balcony overlooking the ocean. Sat on it many nights watching the sunset. Longboat Key is not overrun with tourists like the surrounding keys, making the beach a peaceful quiet place to relax and read. We hope to come back to this condo next year.

Beautiful views

Great location to the beach with fantastic sunset views! Comfortable accommodations. Kitchen adequately equipped. We are salad eaters so it wasn't difficult to whip them up in this kitchen. Communication with owner was easy even though he was in Egypt. I would recommend this location and hope to return next year.

Great view of the ocean and beach. It had chairs on the beach you can use. Very nice area of the beach. Would stay there again.

Great location, worn condo

Pluses: Exterior building &landscaping are well- cared-for and pretty Pool is larger than it appears in picture & well maintained Gorgeous view and few steps to beach with beach chairs Friendly returning residents who have vacationed there for years Responsive manager when there was a plumbing issue- quickly addressed and repaired Cons: Kitchenware is in poor condition Microwave in very poor condition ( manager notified) Ice maker doesn’t work on refrigerator & ice trays Bed is fine if you’re a high school or college student- mattress basically on the floor and is poor quality. No nightstands or bedside lamps Mirrors everywhere! Living room & dining area walls are covered with mirrors.

The property is awesome! Great view and great location!

My wife and I spent the 4th of July week here. The condo is great, clean and comfortable. The location is unbeatable. You can sit on the screened in balcony with a great ocean view. Just about anything you want is within walking or short drive. I would highly recommend this place!

Excellent stay

Quiet, clean, well equipped apartment with beautiful view of the Gulf. Within a couple of blocks walking distance a lovely park with 32 acres of walking trails. Also close by are a corner store and restaurants.
