Island Boathouse w/boatslip

Charming 125+ year old boathouse apartment on Cherry Island which is the closest island from Alexandria Bay going toward the 1000 Island Bridge. This 3 bedroom apartment sleeps 6-8 and includes a covered slip for your use. You will also be able to use a portion of Cherry Island for spreading out. The boathouse is fully equipt with games and water and lawn toys. We have kayaks and row boats and canoes and some kids fishing stuff. There are rafts and tubes to use in the water.

THIS IS ON AN ISLAND AND A BOAT IS NEEDED _ Bring your own boat or we can give you recommendations on a few excellent boat rental companies.

Great unique experience!

What a fantastic week! Phil was very hospitable and a great host. We loved the property, the boathouse was clean/comfy, and the easy of the docking the boat. The location of the island made site seeing a great experience. We enjoyed Grinstone Island/Winery, Alex Bay, Clayton and boating around the islands. Great stay and would highly recommend.

Gorgeous lodging

We were amazed at the breathtaking views surrounding the boathouse. Such a beautiful river with clean water - perfect for swimming! We loved boating, touring two castles and the antique boat museum, and eating at fabulous restaurants. The boathouse was warm and cozy, with plenty of space. It was so convenient to keep our boat in the slip under the boathouse. Phil was a very attentive host who went above and beyond to make our anniversary stay perfect!

Perfect fishing get-away

Great place for a relaxing fishing trip. Very easy and affordable to leave truck and trailer at the state park with a very short boat ride to the island. If anything is needed you can take a 2minute boat ride to Alexandria Bay. The host Phil was more than accommodating and very helpful and prompt on all questions. Highly recommend.

Great location for a weekend on the water.

Wonderful old rustic boathouse. The owner is friendly and helpful and even let us play cards on his boat that is docked there. Location is close to Boldt Castle which was a nice day trip. The better restaurants are in Clayton which is a little further away by boat. You must have a boat to get here...it is on a lovely island. Lots to explore on the river.

Amazing place to stay

Phil is an amazing person. He allowed us to use everything he had and allowed us the use of the whole property. I could not have asked for a better vacation get away. We will be back.

Boaters Ultimate Getaway

Had a great time at Cherry Island. 3 Bedroom 1800's boat house. Living space clean with all the amenities you will need. Phil the owner is a great guy and very gracious. Beautiful Island minutes by boat to Alexandria Bay and Bolt Castle. Park your boat underneath the apartment and forget putting on canvass each night! We will be back!

Amazing Location, Hospitality and Experience!

We spent a long weekend staying at the Casa Blanca Boat House on Cherry Island. It was an amazing vacation. The hospitality of the owners was second to none!! The views from the island were spectacular. Since the boat house is on an island, you do need to rent or have your own boat. Since we could not rent a boat for the first day of our stay, Phil picked us up from Alexandria Bay and helped with transportation until we were able to pick our boat up. We also had use of kayaks and paddle boards throughout the stay! It was a fantastic vacation!

Perfect long weekend getaway

Casa Blanca's boathouse is such a unique place. We enjoyed a private long weekend right above the water with extremely easy access to our boat moored right below us! The boathouse was charming with its wood floors, beadboard and everything we needed. A perfect night's rest in a new and very comfortable bed too. You can see Alexandria Bay from the kitchen window... The owner was very accommodating as well. Thanks for such a nice stay!

Casablanca has been in our family for almost 60 years. The third generation is starting to use the island and learning to love The River. There is nothing like island life to learn to appreciate the surroundings.

In renting the boathouse and occasionally the main house, Casablanca it allows us to off set some of the cost and stay here too. In the short time we have been renting we have met many wonderful people and families that we now call friends and many that make their family memories by coming back to Cherry Island each summer.

You can stay on the mainland anytime, come stay on an island and enjoy the river as the locals do, hear the fish jumping and geese landing in the water. Great sleeping on Cherry Island.


We know that you can stay anywhere, we appreciate our guests because they make it possible for us to to be here too.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

It is a 125 building and if we are available we would like you to come up and tour the main house while you are here. We have plenty of parking on shore for cars and boat trailers. We have been here 60 years and can point you in the right direction no matter what you want to do on your vacation.
