Our cabin, Betty Jeans Joy, is nestled on the upper side of the Lantern Hill community. Very CLEAN--Professionally cleaned!! Read our REVIEWS!! Relax and enjoy the evening view or a morning cup of coffee while sitting in the front porch swing. Come inside and enjoy a very cozy place by the gas fireplace or play a game of pool on our pool table. There is plenty of room to 'whip up' a quick meal in our well-equipped kitchen. A washer/dryer combo is available in kitchen area for your convenience. Enjoy AC/heating, WIFI, cable tv, and keyless entry to the cabin!! NO remote location for check-in, just go straight to the cabin to start your vacation!!
Upstairs, enjoy a spacious bedroom with cathedral ceiling, ceiling fan and overhead light for your convenience, a king size bed and a walk-in shower and over-sized Jacuzzi tub. Awesome couple's retreat!! From the bedroom balcony, enjoy the amazing view of Mt. LaConte. Take a drive through the Smoky Mountain National Park. After a day in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, enjoy a relaxing time a our hot tub which is located on the back deck on the lower level right outside the kitchen. Enjoy the private back deck complete with 2 rocking chairs and an upscale gas grill. During the winter, enjoy some city lights and during the spring and summer mostly a wooded view on the back deck--perfect for an escape to 'quiet'!

Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Put any items you moved back to the original location.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Tenant agrees to bag all trash. Tenant agrees to carry excess bags of trash to dump to avoid extra fee of $25.
Place wet linens in the tub or sink.
Clean up pet hair daily to avoid an excessive pet hair fee of $50 plus the regular pet fee. Pets are not allowed on bedding.

The cabin was so clean you can smell it the second you walk in. Hot tub is the highlight with the privacy and comfort you seek. Full kitchen which was great to keeping costs down. Very comfortable beds, slept the best I have in weeks. Highly recommend this cabin and we will be back.

We had an amazing time staying here. It was our first family vacation and this cabin made it one we will never forget. The views were breathtaking as soon as we got out of the car, the process to get inside was super simple, the host was super responsive. The inside was beautiful the wood and amenities made it feel like someone’s home and not just a rental. You can tell it’s a pet friendly but the place is still very clean.The hottub was also super enjoyable on the cool nights, the LOCATION of this place is amazing (granted your going to go up some steep curvy roads) but other then that being 5-10 minutes from the town and having all the stores you could imagine that close was amazing but also being far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet and see the nature was just as amazing. We loved this cabin and will definitely always recommend it to anyone who says staying in area!

Jackie communicated check in & check out instructions very clearly. The property was in great shape & very clean. There were plenty of dishes, towels, & everything else you would expect from this type of rental. Exterior Hot Tub was ready to dive right in. Jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom was a nice touch & appreciated after a long day of hiking in the mountains.After check in, we were made to feel very welcome & told that of we needed anything to reschedule out. Fortunately, we didn't need anything & had a great time. After check out Jackie communicated any remaining charges & communication was timely in all aspects. Only issue we had was an odor that appeared in the air on our last day/night. This was something in the air, not related to the rental property, just location.I would highly recommend this property for a couples mountain get away. Location is very close to all attractions in the area. Thank you very much Jackie for the amazing hospitality.

Firstly, the host was very responsive and accommodating to us changing our dates. The stay was comfortable with the AC and heating working properly. The cabin was clean yet it looked like it had not been stayed in for a while. I’d give it a 10/10 and we will be back.

The check in email had the incorrect house number. Maybe it was intentional for security reasons? The home was not clean. We walked into dirty linen on the floor and on the bed. Owner immediately had house keeping come out to clean but almost made us late for our evening appointment. House keeping did a good job cleaning inside. Outside was not cleaned. Both decks and outside furniture were covered in pollen. The internet password did not work the day before we left. Great and relaxing location; minutes from everything.

The house number is wrong because VRBO verified the wrong house number at the beginning. The house number is posted in places on the check-in procedures and on the and the name of the cabin, Betty Jeans Joy. The cabin was not cleaned due to owner error. But the cleaners came very quickly to correct the problem. Pollen can be cleaned every day and it falls constantly. The internet was out due to crews working on the lines in the area. The owner did contact Comcast to try to correct the problem. The guest was allowed to gain entrance to the cabin early.

Excellent location. Beautiful views from the front porch swing Cabin was basically clean. We didn’t use the hot tub but would have had to call about the white residue that was covering the bottom of it to have someone check it out. We used the grill on the back porch but had to use foil as the grates were very well used. The bedroom was large with a comfortable bed. Pictures of the cabin were accurate as well as the description. The host was very prompt when I had a bed linen question. We would stay here again.

Betty Jeans Joy is a sweet couples cabin that is very close to attractions, very accessible to Veterans Parkway, restaurants and more. We love that it's so conveniently located. Our guests are mainly couples and they love the convenience also.
