Full of character

  • 4 of 5

This place is very old and has not been renovated but it has a lot of character. It is Pretty big. It has three bedrooms which is a plus. It is in an excellent location. Just two blocks from the main downtown street. Very quiet. Plenty of parking. If I have one request of the owner, I would ask that they replace the sliding glass doors in the kitchen to the deck as 1/2 of the glass is clouded. It would have been nice to have a screen door so we could leave the sliding glass door open.

Great location

  • 4 of 5

Great location, just one block from downtown. AC had trouble keeping up at times and other guests in the house were noisy at night (three units in the house and walls are thin). Other than that, the house was clean, the deck was terrific, Robyn was very responsive to all of my questions and again, you can't beat the location.

The entrance was dirty and smelled damp. The air conditioner did not work.

Way too much money for such a old rundown place.

The owner seemed nice and the location was great.

Owner's Response: I am sorry our rental was not a good fit for you. Our back lobby entrance does show a bit of wear sometimes, as we let families use it to keep their bikes and other sports equipment in during their stay. I have 4 groups that return every year and love the place. Historic building are not for everyone. It was unfortunate that the A/C tech could not get there sooner.

Great value in Downtown GH!

  • 4 of 5

Unbelievable value for the space and quality in downtown GH and within walking distance to the beach! Owner was fantastic and accommodating. Only small concern was the A/C not working while it was in the upper 80s during the day and did not receive a timely response or resolution. But this was minimal compared to how great everything else was, just wish it would have been fixed. We will definitely consider this rental again for future trips!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Upper unit. Our family of 8 fit well and enjoy the proximity to downtown and beach. Robin is wonderful to rent from and we appreciated her prompt response and ease to accomodate our requests.
