Davenport, USA Villa - 15 minutes to Disney Attractions, Shopping & Restaurants

Our 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom villa is situated in the gated community of Highgate Park, close to US Hwy27, Hwy192 and I-4 giving easy access to all the attractions of Disneyworld, Universal and the Florida beaches. Fully air conditioned, this home from home offers free Wi-Fi and free local telephone calls in the USA and Canada. Flat screen TV's with cable and DVD player & Xbox. The games room has Pool, Air hockey and darts to keep the kids happy. Outside the extended pool deck with Lanai, which is not overlooked by other villas, offers shade for those needing to cool down or cook on the BBQ. Note that gas for the BBQ can be sourced from the nearby Publix supermarket for a few dollars at the guests expense. There may be some gas left over from previous guests and should this be the case, do feel free to use it. Should pool heating be required, please let us know as this is available, currently at a daily rate of GBP 20.00. This includes the ability to heat the pool and the hot tub.

This is a self catering rental and in order to keep rental costs to a minimum, we provide basic essentials such as hand soap, toilet roll enough to cover your first 24 hours of stay. Essentials to cover your entire stay can then be purchased as you desire from the nearby supermarkets such as Walmart, Publix etc.

Load the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
We would appreciate you putting the used sheets in the washing machine and put on a cleaning cycle for our housekeepers to then deal with once they arrive.
Please set the home alarm, exit and set the lock on the door keypad.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
A minimum stay of 7 nights is required unless by prior approval of the owners.

Family holiday

Communication with the host was very good. The villa was nice to stay in, it is spacious with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Some parts of the property are very tired and need updating.

Thank you for your comments Peter. I am pleased that you were happy with the villa overall and I take onboard your comments regarding your feeling that some parts of the villa were tired. We have invested over $20,000 since taking ownership in 2018 with the last major investment of over $10,000 in the last year by replacing carpets throughout the house, replacing the sofas in the lounge, replacing the washing machine and new mattresses in the ensuite bedrooms and we will continue to upgrade areas of the house as and when possible in order to keep the house fresh.

Another great stay!

We returned back for a pre-Christmas holiday and had another fantastic stay in this villa! We love Highgate Park and return again and again and this villa is clean, well equipped and suits us perfectly. The pool and hot tub were lovely and warm and we had a couple of late night dips after long days at Disney. Highgate Park is well situated to local amenities and for visiting all the Orlando parks. The owners are a pleasure to deal with and we hope to return again soon.

This house was amazing!!! My youngest son was in the pool everyday, we stayed on the pool and hockey table. The carpet was so clean I had my family take their shoes off at the front door. The master bathroom was emaculate! I loved how everything was separate even the toilet area. Everything was nice!

We have been to Orlando on several occasions and this Villa has been the best one we have stayed in. We were a party of 7 which included 3 children aged 11-13 and the villa ticked all the boxes for us.It is a really good size especially the master bedroom which was huge and has a great ensuite (I say ensuite but it was more like a second room due to the size). The living area / Kitchen was also big and extremely comfortable.The pool and games room were also very welcomed and enjoyed by all.When we come back to Orlando this will be our first choice option to stay in again. Thanks for helping make our stay in Orlando a great one

Villa really good had everything you needed, no problem with villa whatsoever, had a small problem with the colour of the water in the pool but spoke to owners and property management and they got onto it right away and got it sorted so no problem at all.

Family of 6 Easter 2022

This was our 4th family visit to Orlando and our best villa so far! The owners were easy to deal with and the property was as per the photos. The villa felt much bigger inside than we were expecting. We particularly liked the fact that the property was gated and also had an alarm. It was private outside and also nice and quiet on a quiet community. We walked around some of the other nearby communities and Highgate was more premium and better kept than others. The pool heating was by far the best we have ever experienced. There were plenty of chairs and sunbeds (important)! There was no highway noise (also important when relaxing on holiday), we have had that in other properties in the past. We have no hesitation in recommending the property and may well visit again one day.

It was OK.But a few Issues.

Having stayed in the Orlando area for thirty years ,and used 10 different Villas,this villa is what I would class as a standard villa.OK to use as a base,but the actual location I wouldn't stay at again.Two doors down seemed to running a car repair business in the road in front of and on the drive of their Villa,so comings and goings and groups of lads hanging about.Thanksgiving produced an influx of vehicles and when we returned to villa one evening there was a car across the front drive,had to find the owner to move it so could park our vehicle.One morning as we were leaving a girl wandered up with a dog which promptly emptied on the front lawn,when I said to her about picking it up she just looked at me and walked off.The villa needs a safe and the air con needs to have the ability to be adjusted,maybe a ten degree range.The pool area needs a bit of TLC and a jet wash of the patio area, I sound really negative,but these are just what we noticed during our stay.

Florida getaway

The house on Highgate Blvd was bright, airy and very clean. The pool area was great for relaxing and the spa heat was nice at night. Only issue was the AC, as it is set at 72min, the house got a little warm at times. The weather was in the 90’s during our stay. Otherwise we loved all the towels, games and other misc things the house had to offer. Would recommend to everyone!

Good but needs some work

The biggest issue we had was with the whole pool area. We understand pollen is an issue but some repairs need to be done to the pool area screen to keep so much of the debris out. The pool itself was pretty dirty when we got there and had to spend a good part of our first full day cleaning the deck area and pool ourselves. Property manager and owner responsive though which was appreciated. Fix that pool area and you’re good to go!

Your comments regarding the pool area were taken seriously and we had the pool cleaner back on more than one occasion to redo the pool cleanliness standards and we are sorry that despite these actions we were still unable to satisfy your expectations. We take on board the comments regarding the pool area screens which as a result of a busy few weeks we were unable to change these due to home availability however I can confirm the screens are being replaced on 19th April, the first period this year that we have enough time to get the panels changed.

A great stay in Orlando

Overall we had a great stay in Orlando. Although this is a fairly new listing on the website, we had a great experience and we would come back. The listing was accurate and very well priced compared to other villas available. Highlights: - Located in a Gated community, so quiet and safe neighbourhood - Pool was a good size for everyone - Located near Walmart, and easy access to Disney parks - Villa was presented very well and felt homely - Dishwasher was a big help when we were busy most days - Alarm system was easy to use and it gave us ease of mind when we were out for the day A few improvements: - Could do with a safe, we couldn’t find one for our passports and money, and ended up putting them under the sofa - 2 of the plastic cups in the cupboard had mould in them when we arrived, we cleaned them out - The bubbles in the spa worked the first time we used it, but any time after, it would start for a few seconds, but then it wouldn’t work :( - Again for the BBQ, we got it working first time. Second time, we assumed the gas was empty so we got it refilled, but the BBQ was struggling to get going - Villa got very hot at night, meaning some of us were a little uncomfortable overnight

We wanted to say what a great stay we had at your villa. We’ve stayed at a few villas on Highgate and we loved the layout. It’s really well equipped, and how fantastic to have the Christmas tree in the cupboard, so we assembled it and decorated it daily with the baubles we’ve purchased in Disney. Swimming in the pool in December will also be a great memory! We’ve visited Florida many times in the hot summer months but we’ve had the most amazing time being at Disney in the lead up to Christmas and would recommend it to anyone. We wish you every success with renting your villa and are sad to see it’s booked for part of our summer trip in July or we would have booked with you
