2nd time staying here for the wild and scenic film festival

The place was perfect. Comfy furniture, super clean, well equipped kitchen, nice outdoor space. The host was very responsive. Great location for a quiet relaxing stay.

Awesome and Priavate Location

Great residential location close to town and near a beautiful city park. The place is nicely decorated, very clean, and I loved the private patio where I had my meals. The host was kind and responsive. It has everything you need for a great stay!!!!

Solo Traveler-safe and inviting space

Beautiful place to stay!

We loved this place! It is perfectly designed and beautiful!ly decorated. The owner has thought of everything you could possibly need. We have already recommended it to family and they came to see it. They said that they would definitely stay there if they needed a place to stay for family visitors!

Quiet, comfortable and welcoming

We were very pleased with our stay at Butler Place. It was peaceful, quiet, and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the private outdoor deck. Our hosts Justin and Aldo were great communicators which helped us feel welcome and well informed. We would absolutely consider booking a stay here in the future.

Best VRBO We've Ever Stayed At

We absolutely loved our stay! Location was perfect for doing things in both Grass Valley and Nevada City. It's clean, cozy, comfy, quiet and modern. Anything we could possibly need was in the unit: kitchen tools, sound machine, snack basket, earplugs, blow dryer...and the list goes on. Hands down the best VRBO we've ever stayed at! Perfect for Our Trip

It's a good thing that Nevada City was all booked, since it lead us to discover charming Grass Valley for a last min river trip! Very considerate VRBO with all the nice details, clean, quiet, comfortable, well functioning AC, and a lovely back porch to drink your coffee on to boot. Couldn't recommend this property more, we loved how walkable it was to downtown Grass Valley. 10/10!

Wonderful

Thank you Justin. We had a little trouble finding the place because the Vrbo site was having problems and we didn't receive the information from them but aside from that everything was fabulous. Butler Place is in a great location, was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything anyone could need. Thank you so much for a great stay.

Adorable and roomy space in a safe environment

Butler Place had everything we needed, and was easy to find and use. Everything worked well - especially the heater. The place got really warm almost instantly after we returned from frolicking around on a cold, holiday night.

My husband said, "you did good" 😊 we loved the property. So quiet and peaceful. The neighborhood is beautiful and the property is super clean and tastefully decorated. We always travel with our own coffee supplies (we take our coffee very seriously) but we were very surprised at how well stocked the kitchen is. We will definitely be back and recommend to our family and friends.

オーナー : Justin Gross

We purchased this property in 2014 and renovated the cottage later that year.
Justin is a voice over actor and has worked on thousands of media projects throughout the years. He also works with a local property management company and holds a California real estate broker license.
Aldo also works locally with Barrett Property Management and is a licensed real estate salesperson.
We both love to travel and we both agree that Maui is our favorite place to travel to.

I (Justin) grew up here in Grass Valley. I moved away after finishing community college and never thought I would come back. 2012, after selling our home in Houston, we were looking for places to live and I began looking at places for sale in Grass Valley. I wanted to live in town and be walking distance to the downtown area. We found this property and I fell in love with the location. It was a TOTAL gut-job-remodel. All that hard work, blood, sweat and, yes, tears, was worth it.
