Witness the amazing 360 Degree views from the expansive vaulted ceiling 2nd floor great room. Enjoy a margarita from the roof deck which gives you a view of the entire island and the spectacular sunrises and sunsets. New paint, flooring, newly updated/remodeled kitchen and bathrooms, new furniture, new kitchen appliances, 5 brand new flat panel smart TVs just waiting for you in this lightly used home owned by caring owners. The house is a great size for a big family. It had things that would be needing for cooking and hosting a big family. It could benefit from going through things and getting rid of broken beach chairs, umbrellas and things of that manner.

Great Home

Captivation was perfect for our family trip to the island. We really enjoyed the lower level entertaining area. The updates in the home were amazing and well done. I would highly recommend staying at this home.

Our extended family stayed here for a week, and the layout of the home worked well for a larger group. We had two kids, grandparents, and a nana on the trip, and the house gave us enough space to be together when we wanted and spread out when we needed it. The fully screened-in pool area was the highlight.We also ran into several issues that took away from the stay.Multiple bedroom doors either wouldn’t open or were difficult to close. The ice machine was full of tiny ants, and we found sugar ants around the house every day. The dryer was completely broken, and management didn’t offer any alternative or solution, which made it hard because we rely on doing laundry during a trip like this.The dishwasher filter was dirty and wasn’t draining. We cleaned it the best we could, but it still needs to be replaced. Stock levels were also light on basics like paper towels and dish towels.The biggest issue by far was management. They forgot to pick us up for our departure boat and never called, which put us in a stressful situation at the end of the trip. Combined with the lack of response on the dryer and other items, it’s clear the management company needs to be replaced.The home itself is beautiful and has real potential, but the management and general maintenance need attention before this can be a five-star stay.

Captivation was a great experience and just as advertised. Very clean, the lanai around the entire first floor was wonderful and the management was very accommodating. Would certainly stay here again.

Relaxation at Captivation

Wonderful home with plenty of room for a large family to enjoy each others company or find a quiet place to read a book. We enjoyed the enclosed pool area and downstairs kitchen. Looking forward to coming backing next year!! We love North Captiva Island!

We've been going to North Captiva Island for many years, normally at the beginning of June and in November. Captivation house was one of our favorite houses by far! It had everything we needed for our group of 13 and Duncan the property manager and his team was excellent! Would absolutely stay at Captivation again!

We love North Captiva and this house has everything we needed for my family (3 young boys). Property management was easy to get ahold of if needed - seamless and helpful getting us and everything we brought to and from ferry.

Captivation

We had a great time at Captivation. Plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed the pool area especially the little kids. It was quite an adventure getting to the island and planning the logistics and the grocery list but it was well worth it. We found the property managers to be very accessible and responsive.

Relaxing island home

We had the most beautiful and relaxing vacation. Loved the island . Laura and Duncan couldn’t have been more helpful, any problems we had were taken care of promptly . The home is beautiful and clean We had plenty of room for our family . The weather was perfect , we enjoyed every part of the island . I will definitely be making a trip back to Captivation sometime in the future.

Great family vacation! All the kids had a blast and the house was nice. Only recommendation I would make is to check in with the manager to make sure they get your grocery order if you are going through them. Otherwise amazing vacation.

Enjoyed our large family stay

We had a large family vacation on the island and 1 of the 2 houses we stayed for a week was captivation. There was plenty of space for grandparents,kids and grandchildren. We spent a lot of time at the pool area enjoying the space and amenities. Property managers quickly responded to anything that we needed. Great job guys and thanks for helping our family make memories! Highly recommend

Awesome island getaway!

The house was amazing, clean, very spacious, and stocked with everything you need and more! The pool was amazing and we loved the games provided. Cooked dinner every night in the fully stocked kitchen, saving us a ton of money. Our kids had a blast playing while the adults relaxed. Property manager was phenomenal with communication, and answered every question we had. Highly recommend Mango’s Bar and Grill - awesome potato salad and buffalo chicken wraps!! We will be back!

Perfect House on North Captiva!

First, the pictures do NOT do the place justice. The spaces are much larger than they appear in the picture. There are so many areas to go escape - bedroom, TV area, decks, pool, etc. The fact the pool is covered is a huge bonus. We spent each day lounging in or by the pool, playing ping-pong, or watching sunsets from the roof deck. Fantastic location for the beach or walking the preserve. Would recommend this location above any others we've viewed or stayed at!

Family and Friends vacation to North Captiva

The house is spacious with great amenities. The covered outdoor pool area was great with Ping Pong, corn hole and an outdoor bar/bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped and with four bedrooms/bathrooms there is more the adequate space for two families. The views from the 3rd floor deck are awesome. But remember you are going to a barrier island. When there is an issue it's not simple to get fixed.

We are a family of 6 that lives up north in the Chicago area. We have visited North Captiva many times over the years and fell in love with it. It is quiet and peaceful and we can get away from it all here! We finally decided to own a piece of paradise.

Why they chose this property

We chose Captivation because it is big enough for our large family and for us to have others join us on the island when we visit. We just love the screened in pool area, the large living space, all of the decks to sit outside and enjoy the views. We love the location: proximity to the beach, NCIC club and pool, Mangos, and the preserve. We loved the 360 degree views of the island. Favorite time of day is grabbing some coffee and watching sunrise from the back deck while listening to all of the birds waking up.
