I will keep this very short. Awesome location for the area. Great communication with the owner at anytime before and during the stay. Really nice, comfy cottage. Perfect for two and would be very comfortable and just right for up to four people. Very dog friendly.

Beautiful Home and Yard in a Great Location

This property is beautifully maintained both inside and out and stocked with all the amenities a guest could want or need. Located in a quiet neighborhood just a few minutes'drive from the Fiscalini preserve and downtown Cambria. The backyard is huge and though we did not use the wood burning firepit, it was all set up with firewood and kindling just ready for a match. The home is attractively decorated in a cute cottage decor, spotlessly clean and has a fully stocked kitchen including coffee and creamer. The bed and pillows in the primary suite were very comfortable. There was just two of us this trip but the home could comfortably house a larger group. Diane is a responsive host who easily accommodated my special request regarding allergies. I highly recommend Wine Down Cottage for a great stay in Cambria!

Great neighborhood

The home was not lacking in all necessities and in addition had good landscaping, spacious back yard with fire pit. Close proximity to Cambria Pines hotel and restaurant. The only negative was the uncleared plates for which the host was embarrassed because her cleaning person had recently experienced a family tragedy and my bed dipped where many others had slept before. Even so, the place provides a superior environment to spend several days.

Lovely

We stayed for 4 days and enjoyed the back yard . Very relaxing. The house was lovely and had everything we needed. In the evening we relaxed and watched TV. The beds we so comfy. The only thing we didn't care for was the firestation next door was fairly noisey, not all the time, but occasionally. Not enough that we would not stay there again.

Favorite getaway

The town and house was perfect. The yard being gated was a great peace of mind for our kids playing outside. Any questions or conversations were replied to very fast. Very clean and beautiful. Having it so close to everything made planning our days easier and more efficient. Would definitely stay here again.

AWESOME

Perfect! Everything we could have wanted was there at the house. The owners made the extra effort to consider every need (or want) of a potential renter. All the spices needed for meal preparation were provided. We used the clean gas grill, sat at the fire pit on the cool evenings, and soaked in the hot tub. The location is perfect and comfortably fit our oversized truck in the driveway. It is conveniently located near downtown and the beach. We plan on staying longer next time!

Comfortable and Inviting

We came to Cambria, having never stayed here before. We enjoyed the town including several restaurants and loved the cottage. It was so comfortable from the minute we walked in - nicely decorated and well appointed. I'd say the only negative was the cool weather which kept us from enjoying the firepit and outdoor seating as much as we wanted to. We definitely would love to return to the Wine Down Cottage. Beautiful, centrally located, light-filled cottage with large yard

This was our second time at the lovely Wine Down cottage. It was even better than i remembered from the last time. We stay in Cambria for a month. This time, our adult children and their partners came to visit for a week(2 stayed at the Cambria Pine Lodge across the street from the cottage. It was very convenient). Because the "kids" came to the house, we all used the many amenities that Diane and Ralph provide for their guests. We had a fire in the fire pit, soaked in the relaxing hot tub, and played bags(corn hole). We also had our dogs with us. They very much approve of the large, securely fenced yard. The cottage is fully updated and filled with light. It has an open floor plan that is very convenient for visiting with our family. The house is immaculate. The kitchen is fully stocked with every convenience, the beds are comfy and the bathrooms are beautifully appointed. Diane and Ralph were very quick to respond to any questions we had. They are excellent hosts! If they allow us, we would love to stay at the Wine Down Cottage on our next trip to Cambria.

Amazing home in Cambria

We loved this cottage in Cambria, it was extremely clean & the backyard grill & hot tub very were nice features. The best thing about it was the kitchen; which was the best provisioned I have ever seen in a VRBO. We enjoyed cooking & hanging out while also exploring the Cambria & San Simeon. The owner was easy to communicate with; all and all a wonderful stay.

Fantastic time at the Wine Down!

We enjoyed our stay immensely at the Wine Down. The location is perfect….close to everything. The cottage was so cozy and charming and all decked out for Christmas! Although it was raining all week, we had such a great time here and got some much needed R and R as well.

I have always been in love with Cambria. It was always our get away retreat to enjoy the quiet peaceful town. We decided to buy in 2013. We still love Cambria very much and plan to retire here soon.

Why they chose this property

We completely renovated this 1967 ranch style home to accommodate what we feel most vacationers would want when they are on vacation. We also love to provide an excellent service for our quest. We would come to Cambria often and because we loved coming here frequently, we decided the next best thing was to own a piece of property here.

What makes this property unique

We are centrally located in the heart of Cambria. We are a few houses away from the Cambria Pines Lodge which host many events like Happy Hour, Wine Tours, and delicious restaurant and a huge breakfast style buffet.
