Vacation home on the Albemarle Sound

Do you want to watch beautiful sunrises in the morning over the water? This home is for you. Enjoy your morning coffee in the sunroom or sitting on the pier. Take a swim in the sound or fish from the dock. Have your own boat, the boat ramp is around the corner. There is a large shelter that is wonderful for family cookouts. You are about 30 minutes from either Elizabeth City or Edenton.
Bring your own paddle boats or kayaks to enjoy the sound. Water is only about 3 ft deep at the dock. There is a fire pit on site.
Blink security cameras in use that cover the driveway and front and back entrances.

***Just a reminder, our slice of Heaven is waterfront property and as such, you will be in nature. There are insects, pests and wildlife that share this beautiful area with us. We do our best to keep them out of the house with yearly/monthly pest control. However, there is still a chance you may find a spider or other insects inside the home. There is also a chance in the warmer months that there will be Fuzzy Bills/Midges or May Flies outside.***

REMINDER - This property is on the water and you will be in nature. Although pest control is done monthly/yearly, you may still find insects inside.
Starter amount of paper towels, toilet paper and trash bags are provided. Should additional of these items be needed, renter must purchase.

Awesome spot. Such a fantastic view. The pictures don't do it justice. I highly suggest watching the sun come up.The place was clean and inviting with all the amenities a family would need. The neighborhood is quiet. There are some good restaurants fairly close.

The views are amazing we watched dolphins swim through the sound from the dock. We spent countless hours fishing from the dock and enjoying the beautiful weather and quiet neighborhood. One of the all around best places we have stayed. Wish we could have stayed a couple days longer. Will definitely rebook in future. Phyllis is an amazing and attentive owner, with an amazing story!

My family and I first enjoyed this home in July. My husband and I were blessed to return last week for our 30th anniversary. This was the perfect quiet getaway that we needed! The sunroom is great for reading while glancing out at the water or the wildlife that happen to stop by - heron this trip! My husband enjoyed fishing off the pier. The neighborhood is very quiet, and it's just so relaxing being close to the water. The house is very clean and well-stocked with comfortable beds. I didn't do much cooking, but there's plenty of pots, pans, serve ware and utensils. We really love it here, and appreciate Phyllis for creating such a warm and welcoming place. Just as before, we really felt at home and look forward to returning.

My husband, son and I had the pleasure of staying at this property this week. It was such a blessing! So peaceful, quiet and relaxing being right on the water. From the moment we walked in, we felt warmly welcomed. It was cozy, clean and comfortable. We also found the home to be well stocked. My guys did a little fishing off the pier in the back. We even saw a couple dolphins while standing on the pier - something we didn't expect! We're grateful to the host for her hospitality, and really hope to stay here again.

Christmas Visit

We enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of space to kick back and relax. The view of the Albemarle Sound from the sunroom was excellent. We will look for this place again when we return in the near future.

Home away from home

Responsive host, online information accurate, good space, comfortable set up, easy access. House was clean. All basics provided. Small bonuses such as regular coffee pot plus single cup Keurig. Several outlets have capability of power outlet plug plus USB connection for power. Covered outdoor area with picnic tables and lights. This will be our preferred location when in the area!
