Perdido house in Elberta

Our group of 11 stayed very comfortably. It was nice to stay at a short term rental where you were not provided with the least expensive and most limited amount of items. I’m not saying other rentals are wrong in doing this, it was a very nice unexpected surprise: knives that cut, fully stocked kitchen, so many towels and linens at our disposal, a second roll of toilet paper, garbage bags, basic kitchen items like parchment paper, aluminum foil, coffee pot filters, the list goes on. It felt like coming home not a rental. The house is not overly large, but it is spacious and has an open concept in the living areas that are perfectly furnished and layed out to very comfortably accommodate a large group. The listing says accommodates 12. Our group was 11 and we had no problem being in the kitchen together. It seems designed with the purpose of gathering and enjoying each other. However, 3 of the rooms only have access through the screened in porch and one is completely separate from the house, so there is a decent amount of privacy to be had as well. We thoroughly enjoyed the easy access to the bay, the kayaks, the ping pong table, and the many chairs and swings in the covered porch. Beautiful home would highly recommend a stay!

The Escape We All Needed

Lazy days on the wrap around porch. Kayaking in the shallow beach water area. BBQ’n on the sand and watching the boats pass in the channel with pelicans galore and dolphin fins visible. Game and puzzle nights at the long table inside and the two tables on the porch. We cooked all 4 days and never needed anything as far as kitchen gear. It was The Escape We All Needed.

Beautiful and relaxing.

We planned a quick all girls trip. The house was exactly what we were looking for and even better than we imagined. The house has a very comforting atmosphere and the view is absolutely breathtaking. The kitchen has a large island which made making meals easy and enough room for the whole group to help out. The large kitchen table was great for everyone to fit and talk about the daily itineraries during a breakfast. The back porch was probably the overall favorite area during mornings and evenings. The dolphins came right in view a few times. There are kayaks that can be used and a fire pit where we roasted marshmallows our last night. The host was so friendly and was easy to reach if we needed anything. The property is far enough away from everything to enjoy the peace but close enough that basic necessities are within 20 minutes. A definite must stay. ❤️

The house was spacious & comfortable. Everything we needed was provided. The kids (& adults) thoroughly enjoyed the kayaks & paddle boards. If a beach experience is desired, be aware that the Gulf is a good ways off by car. We had a wonderful vacation!

Great for family vacation!

This was a wonderful place for my extended family to gather. There was plenty of room for my group’s seven adults and four kids to be together but not on top of each other. The huge porch with swings, hammock, and rocking chairs was a favorite hangout spot for everyone. We like to eat dinner together as a family so the spacious kitchen and dining table were perfect. The house overall, and the kitchen in particular, were well stocked. Tucked away in Perdido Beach, the house is removed from traffic and noise, offering a serene retreat.

Wonderful Gem for Families

It is hard to decide what to mention first. The amazing wrap around porch that overlooks the water and sand, with swinging pallets and rocking chairs, makes a wonderful place to sit and watch your kids play in the sand. Playing in the water was great too, it is nice and shallow for kids. The owners lend the use of kayaks and canoes and even life jackets, which really amped up the fun. Gathering at the end of the day in the large kitchen and around the great table, for dinner and games, may have been the best though. There were plenty of comfy couches and seating in the living room as well and more than enough bedding, towels and kitchen equipment for our group of 13. It was an amazing spot and we plan to return annually!

No complaints at all about the house, guest house, or property. It was tidy and clean when we got there, with plenty of linens and towels. Beds and pillows were so comfy! Loved the place! My only complaint is the neighbor to the right of the house. I was not a fan and he obviously is a miserable person. If it wasn’t for him I would go back and recommend more people to go but with the neighbor I just can’t.

Amazing porch on Perdido Bay!

We so enjoyed our visit in this home on Perdido Bay. The home was beautifully and comfortably decorated and had everything we needed and so many special touches. We had plenty of room for 6 adults and 6 teens/children - loved having space to spread out and relax as well as gather. The home was exceptionally clean and beds were very comfortable. The dining table seats 14 and the kitchen is huge! Two refrigerators and two large sinks on opposite sides make cooking for a group so easy. We absolutely loved being right on the bay. The kayaks and paddle board were fun for our whole group, and the screened porch was amazing for morning coffee while watching dolphins play right in front of us, and naps during a rainstorm. The owner/host is friendly and accessible, responds almost immediately, and provided privacy during our stay. We can't wait to visit again!

We took the littles on their first vacation and this place was fantastic. The owners are nice and easy to work with. The house itself is amazing and worked out well for our family. It was perfect being right on the bay and on the water. Made the kids want to play out in the water all day every day.

This property checks ALL the boxes!

This property is amazing. We had our family of 6 adults, 2 teens, 2 children under 6yo, and a baby. The house was perfect - beautiful in both decor and lay-out. Three of the five bedrooms have their own access to the large wrap-around porch - perfect for everyone to have their own privacy. We practically lived on the porch facing the bay. The view was breathtaking and the breeze was wonderful! We were able to tie up our boat in the bay for use during the day and were provided a dock on the calmer 'creek' side to dock in the evenings. The swimming set-up is perfect for the kids! The water is shallow enough that the kids could safely play. The house is VERY well stocked with anything you could need. and the hosts were so kind and extremely accommodating! Hated to leave but we WILL be back!

Perfect!

Plenty of room, privacy, absolutely fabulous, fully equipped home with magnificent kitchen. Not in a tourist area. We all loved the beach and the water, just steps away from house. 30 min drive to beautiful turquoise water and white sand. 1 preteen, 4 teens and 6 adults. There was something for everyone. Owner lives next door but was never intrusive, available if we needed anything. Everything was just fabulous.

Just the space you need.

The house is very lovely. It’s nicely decorated but not to nice that you have to worry about the kids. The beach area is nice and the bay was perfect for swimming. The only thing is the owner lives literally right next door. We wasn’t bothered by them whatsoever. I just think this should be full disclosure when renting the property. Also, your 30 minutes from anywhere. Overall we really loved this house and made lots of memories here.

Southern Comfort

This home is a very cool southern comfort home. The wrap around porch was so spacious, the kids had lots of room to play when it rained. We had 6 adults and 5 kids plus visiting relatives and had plenty of room in the house. The porch was so relaxing. Can’t wait to go again!

Loved it!!!

We tok a family vacation to stay away from the hustle and bustle. We loved this location!!! Nothing negative to say, we are already talking about going again next year. Our kids fished, we tanned and relaxed! I could go on and on but if your wanting a place to relax not have a care and get away from everyday hustle this is the place hands down to go. We will be back for sure!!

Wonderful Home and Hosts!

This is one of the best rental properties I have ever stayed in. We came with a large family group and enjoyed every part of this home especially the screened in porch facing the water! So peaceful and so beautiful!! The home is the best stocked home that I have rented - plenty of everything from paper products to dish towels and bath towels. The kitchen is huge and fully stocked! We did not lack anything in this home. The owner of this home is particularly welcoming and her family home is wonderful. Thank you for sharing this beautiful, peaceful and clean home with us. I highly recommend this house for its beauty, its location and its cleanliness. We intend to come here again!

Our family of 9 had space to spare. It's a lovely spot with very little noise or congestion as it's away from town and the busy vacation hot spots. The photos are very representative, and the hosts are super accommodating. We'd love to come back someday!
