Another great stay

Stayed here several years ago, brought additional family along this time. Nephews first beach trip- great location to beach. Several beach side restaurants within walking distance. Had daughters Senior pictures taken on beach this visit, can’t wait to see how those turned out.

Wonderful trip

We had a great time! The house was perfect for our family. The kids loved the bunk beds and of course the pool! We really enjoyed the private road that literally only took us 2 minutes (if that) to walk to the beach. Jay was awesome and was very communicative, and reached out to see if we needed anything during our stay. Would recommend this to anyone wanting to stay at Miramar!

Great place to stay

Awesome location! Steps from the beach. The house is everything that you need. The setup of the house worked well for us with the lower level not being attached to the upper level but it may not be for some. Pool and basketball court were amazing. Very clean and comfortable. Would stay here again for sure.

Perfect Beach Getaway

The house was perfect for a family of 12! Very clean, stocked with everything you could possibly need, super close to the beach, great pool, and large porch area. The owners were fabulous to work with! We highly recommend this place for vacation! 10 out of 10 stars, too bad the scale stops at 5!!

My wife and I grew up at the beach. Kristalynn in Hawaii and myself in Boston. We live in Texas and have 6 children and 2 grand children.We get rejuvenated from the ocean and the sand between our toes. We wanted to create great times and memories for our family. 19 years ago, I bought this home, for my bride's birthday. We named it after the Summerwind Song that was the first song played at our wedding reception 20 years ago. Gutted the house down to the studs and completely remodeled it. I decided to start renting the house to make up for some of the monthly expenses and it turned into a great small business. We decided to expand in 2005 and bought another house in Panama City Beach and renovated that as well. Both house have been a wonderful blessing for us. We bought our 3rd house in 2012 in Crystal Beach Destin VRBO#438269. We added a fourth house in 2014 - rented it for a year and someone made us an offer we could not refuse, so we sold it. We built a another house right up the street from CUDA 438269. CUDA TOO 767599 is a block away and has 6 bedrooms/61/2 baths. We sold this property too and just bought a lot to build 6 b 6 1/2 bath beach home. We are having a blast renting to wonderful families/groups. Book now and make SUMMERWIND your "Homeaway from Home"

Why they chose this property

We chose Destin because it is within driving distance from Texas and the "powder white sand" and the "clear blue water" make for one of the "World's Most Beautiful Beaches". The town is very family friendly. I found this property after dialing into the internet in 2000. Traveled to Destin to see it and could not believe the location to the gulf! We could hear the waves at night and did not have to cross a street to get to the beach with our children that were so young at the time. Everything worked out great! My bride and I make a great team!

What makes this property unique

The house and the area are private and peaceful. There are only 15 houses on the street and it dead ends into the gulf so there is no traffic. We designed an over-sized wrap around deck that gives us plenty of room to grill and relax. The private pool and basketball court are fun and can be competitive. Upstairs is separated from the down stairs so it gives people the needed privacy when vacationing with multiple families or friends. Plus some people have small children or babies that need to go down for naps so it provides the benefit of a quiet place to go. Access to the beach is easy and moving back and forth from the beach to the pool is quite convenient. Shopping for groceries or anything else someone might need are with in a mile of the house. We like this end of the beach because there is not as much traffic on the roads or the beaches. Once you have your groceries you never have to leave the complex. We have several families that come back every year. We love it in Destin and you will too.
