About Lynnet Anderson

Tired of the city life, the young surfing family simply desired a small coastal surfing community to call home. The town of Seaside, Oregon called out to them and in the Fall of 2000 they left the city forever along with their three young boys. Lynnet having been in Property Management and Brian in Hospitality Food Service, both secured good jobs in the Tourist Industry and were able to buy their Seaside Home in June of 2001. The cute 1941 beach bungalow was the perfect home to raise their boys. Over the next ten years, with a lot of hard work, creativity, talent and some financial help by the rapidly increasing home equity value, together they transformed the home into the beauty that it is today! Brian and Lynnet now own a Construction Company while Brian also owns a Surf Board Manufacturing business. Lynnet continues to work in Property management. Two of their sons have grown up and have started their own lives, the youngest recently started college at Oregon State University. Brian and Lynnet are empty nesters ready to take on a NEW adventure. This is where the idea was born to share their home with other families or individuals that have the same dream they did over 14 years ago. This way they can keep the home in the family, and one day hope to fill it with new memories, with the boys and their families. But for now, it is their dream to build Brian's Surf Board Business by promoting him in other coastal communities.

Lynnet Anderson purchased this bungalow in 2001

Comfortable home at the beach for a family.

  • 4 of 5

We were 5 adults and 1 three year old. We found the home clean and well ordered. The mermaid decor was fun. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen as it was well stocked. The appliances were in excellent working order. We used the hot tub. We were asked to keep the temp at 100 degrees. Not a problem. The house has a lovely back yard which we used for relaxing and playing with our grand daughter. The house has lots of toys, games, and puzzles. All were enjoyed There are three beach bikes for guest use. They are youth bikes and challenging for people over 5 feet. Lastly the house is 5 blocks from the beach. We would have enjoyed a closer location but the upside was that this part of the beach is pretty quiet. The reason this is rated 4 rather than 5 stars is that the bedrooms are so small that they barely fit full size beds. There isn’t even much space between the beds and the wall, making it difficult for the person sleeping next to the wall to get out of bed.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the nice review. I realize the bedrooms are small but the house was built in the 1940's as a beach vacation home and that was a standard size for bedrooms back then. We have tried to make them as spacious and comfortable as possible while keeping the original charm of this 1940's beach cottage.
