One free shuttle ride from the door of the Cherokee Condo at Northstar takes you to a wide variety of resort adventures! Perks in the home itself will keep you coming back - try a furnished deck, private laundry, WiFi, and wood-burning fireplace!
With access to 3,170 acres of trails that are winter wonderlands in snow and picturesque paradises in summer, Northstar California Resort is one of the best spots to stay near during your Lake Tahoe vacation. Not only will you be close to the thrill-filled terrain of Northstar, but at this condo you'll have access to the Northstar Property Owner's Association recreation center (NPOA) that offers a family-friendly atmosphere among great amenities.
Inside this split-level condo, with mountain-lodge decor throughout, you'll have accommodations for two couples (four guests max). Each bedroom has a queen-size bed and there are even two bathrooms with recently updated walk-in showers.
If you prefer to make your meals while on vacation to save money, fix a feast in the condo's fully stocked kitchen, which even has a coffee bean grinder and waffle iron. Burgers and hot dogs can be made on the patio's charcoal grill in summer.
This home, unlike a few others in the area, offers access to the NPOA where guests can play tennis, basketball, or shoot pool. Saunas and hot tubs allow you to relax while a fitness center will help you keep up with your exercise schedule. Just a short drive or free shuttle trip gets you there.
Among the 20 lifts, two gondolas, and 100-plus miles of ski, tubing, boarding, and snowshoeing trails, Northstar will keep you busy from open to close. Ice skating in winter and roller skating in summer on the 9,000 square foot rink in the heart of the Village will be a memorable experience. Then, you can all reconvene at your Northstar vacation rental for cocoa once the sun sets.
Consider the Cherokee Condo for your next Northstar vacation for its proximity to the great resort, privacy of a home away from home, and super value.
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
The 6030 Mill Camp condo is in a quiet forested location and is well appointed with comfortable casual furniture and bedding. The Northstar shuttle service allows guests to access all resort facilities with ease including the excellent Recreation Center, inviting Village and terrific skiing.
This condo is a very nice place to stay has everything you need. It's a split level so you'll have 2 sets of stairs to climb when going from the living area to the bedrooms. Very nice furnishings through out with updated appliances. The only thing we had a problem with was the beds were uncomfortable for us so didn't sleep well. But it is a nice place.
This condo is at the edge of the property, so the deck overlooks trees. The condo's on the other side of the parking lot overlook the parking lot. It was really quiet when we were there (mid-week in late August) but that is the off-season. Know that there are stairs that cannot be avoided. You enter on a landing and go up to the living area and down to the bedrooms. The pictures are accurate. Yes, the TV is old and we had some issues getting the DVD player to work with it, but it finally did and we watched some movies. The wifi is great. The kitchen is well appointed and the fridge is nice.
Minor things: there was a plug-in fan on the second floor that did not work, and of the two flashlights to use on the fire place (needed in the middle of the night) one had dead batteries, the other had weak ones, and the hall light bulb was out, it would require a ladder to replace. We let the maintenance person know about these issues.
Overall, we would definitely go back. I wish I was there now!
We visited during August. A last getaway before school starts. This house is in a good location at the edge of the development, so the patio looks out over trees (the condos to the east look out over the parking lot). It was really quiet there, but I don't think any of the neighbors were there. Like to climb stairs if you stay. You enter on a landing and go down to the two bedrooms, laundry room and one bathroom; up to go to the other bathroom, kitchen, deck and living area. There is lots of room in the living area and kitchen. The deck is fine for 2-3 people. We didn't use the BBQ, but wouldn't be comfortable using it in the summer on the deck of the house... Highly recommended!
Very quiet and relaxing. However, some updated living convenience's would be great. Also, the cleaning deposit is way more than its worth. This will make me re-think my accommodations for next visit to North Star resort.
