Steps to Cliff House Resort! Ocean living at it's best! We get many questions about access to the ocean or beach. The resort has a steel access staircase down to the ocean, fully usable for local residents, that means you. Its a rocky shoreline, no beach. Easy access but not really a swim area. There is no beach, several beaches are about a 5 minute drive, Wells/Ogunquit, Cape Neddick River Beach, great for families, pay parking, Long Sands and Short Sands, York, pay parking, meters and private parking. York Harbor beach, great for family’s and free street parking, also expansive grass areas for picnic style. Also you can use resort restaurants, The Tiller, main restaurant, plus bar area and bar food, NUBS lobster roll and cafe and bar, plus breakfast coffee shop, outdoor seating and expansive fire pit, full service spa, walking paths. However resort pools are only open to hotel guests. Unfortunately the hotel does not offer day passes to the pools, their summer occupancy rate is extremely high and they just don’t want additional people overrun the facilities.
