Studio Rouge au coeur du vieux Bowral à seulement quelques minutes à pied des magasins et des restaurants

Ajout récent à HomeAway, cet hébergement est construit sur une propriété qui fait partie de l'histoire du Vieux Bowral qui remonte aux environs de 1890. Il appartenait autrefois au sellier local, William Oldridge. Le chalet d'origine a été intégré à la nouvelle résidence, séparée du Studio Rouge. Le logement est récemment construit. Il s’agit d’un studio entièrement équipé comprenant une chambre avec un lit queen-size, une salle de bains séparée, une salle à manger, un salon, une cuisine et un coin buanderie. Les ustensiles de cuisine se trouvent dans les tiroirs et le grand placard de cuisine en bois. L'espace de vie fait face au nord et toutes les fenêtres sont à double vitrage. Si vous souhaitez manger sur place, une cuisinière électrique et un four micro-ondes sont à votre disposition.
Cet hébergement convient à un couple ou à une personne seule sans enfants ni animaux. Il propose un hébergement minimum de deux nuits et est situé au cœur du vieux Bowral, dans un endroit très calme. Il se trouve à 10 minutes à pied de la rue principale de Bowral où vous trouverez de nombreux restaurants, cafés et magasins pour tous les goûts.
Il est situé sur une propriété privée et est séparé de la maison des propriétaires, qui se trouve sur le même site et est une zone sans fumée.
Il y a un parking sécurisé dans la rue qui convient à un véhicule, mais pas à l'abri.

A lovely studio apartment set in a lovely setting. It is quite private, only a delightful 15 mins walk into town and the hosts are very discrete. Highly recommended.

Studio Rouge is really nice place to stay. It is clean tidy and well appointed. Studio Rouge has many endearing location features with cafes, restaurants and shopping just a short walk away. This is a quiet location. The building is well designed with full kitchen and laundry. The bedroom is generous in size, the bed is comfortable, the living and dining areas are more than adequate in furnishing and size. There is designated off street parking just a few steps from the front doorIf you go out and arrive back after dark, there are timed night lights to guide you to the front doorThe hosts are lovely people who are happy to engage but will understand if you want your own space. We were glad to speak with them to learn more about the local area the sights and things to see whilst visiting Bowral and the southern highlands I highly recommend Studio Rouge as a place to stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the studio. Maria and John have put a lot of thought into the layout and design of the studio. It was very clean and in a aesthetically pleasing location. My wife enjoyed the short walk to the shops and John escorted me on a great bike ride up the Gib. We could not fault our stay.

A beautiful, very well-maintained flat that was perfect for a weekend break in Bowral! Maria was very responsive, the place was spotless and had everything we need, and was walking distance from central Bowral. We’d certainly stay again!

On arrival we commented on the pleasant exterior appearance of the property and the tasteful interior. The concrete floor, however, made the property very difficult to warm on a winter's night in Bowral. We made use of 2 electric heaters and the electric blankets but when we tried to boil the kettle the power tripped. As the owners live on site we called their number to find out where the fuse box was but received no response. My husband relies on a CPAP machine so he ventured outside to find the fuse box and try to restore power for the night. There were corpses of dead brush tail possums in the area. Uneasy that the power would not be reliable my husband found the residence of the owners and raised our concerns. It was not a productive discussion with the host suggesting that we, the guests, were responsible for our cold accommodation and power failure: arriving 2 hours after check in and not heating the place up and not using the electric kettle correctly. It was verbally agreed that we would find alternative warmer accommodation the next day and that payment for that period could be refunded.Apart from sleeping in the bed and showering we left the cottage as we found it. To date we have not received a refund.

The review by the female guest is misleading and a misrepresentation of the events of 8/8/2026. The guests, arrived at our accommodation mid afternoon on 8/8/2026. They had ample time to speak to us about any issues. We were home on site all afternoon and into the evening. At 10.15pm the male guest confronted my husband, complaining about the concrete floor and stating that he had to go out to the meter box because the power had cut out. He was belligerent, aggressive and confrontational. He accused us of writing our own reviews and that we lied about having double glazing. He also indicated that there was a dead possum at the back of the studio. The possum was subsequently removed. Refund policies are managed by VRBO. Over the last 6 years our record of service and quality of accommodation has been outstanding, as supported by feedback from our guests.

We found Studio Rouge the perfect place in Bowral for our 4-night stay. It was spacious and very comfortable and tucked away from the street. We loved its central location, a pleasant walk from town.

We have been the owners for at least 22 years and have lived in this same street for 30 years.
This property was transformed by us 15years ago when we undertook building a major extension and separate building which is Studio Rouge.
We live on site.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

This property tells an interesting story about part of the history of old Bowral. We chose to buy this property to save some of that history which was being destroyed at that time. Many of the tools used by the saddler, whose wife lived here in the early 1930's and together until they passed the property on, were left behind in many of the sheds. We salvaged many of them and donated some to the Berrima Museum where they are on exhibit.
It is so conveniently located in the heart of Bowral, in a very quiet and private location.

This property offers a mix of the old and modern, featuring some sustainable elements like double glazing, extensive insulation with the living area facing north and is clad in mini orb. The Studio space is light and airy and spacious,with considerable room to move and relax.
If you step out onto Merrigang Street and head in any direction you will encounter ducks on the stream, a memorial walk which in takes you in and around the centre of Old Bowral or head up the hill and experience a challenging walk up "The Gib" through the unique vegetation and can learn more about our history on the way to the lookout.
