About this property

Blairgowrie cottage by the sea, private and tranquil.

This seaside cottage is located in a natural treed environment which allows for privacy, peace and quiet. It is located in walking distance to the Blairgowrie back beach and a five minute drive to the safe swimming bay. A ten minute drive will get you to the heart of Sorrento for coffee and a leisurely stroll. The large natural garden is ideal for sitting quietly and relaxing or reading your favourite book. A large decking surrounds the cottage and provides a great place to sit and relax and enjoy the cool ocean breeze.

Inside you will find a cottage with great charm as shown by the photographs provided. You will also find comfortable beds immersed in soft natural light and garden views from an elevated position. There are two bedrooms: the main bedroom has a double bed and there are two single beds in the second bedroom. Both bedrooms are provided with clean fresh linen. The kitchen has all the required amenities that will meet your needs. Similarly, the bathroom has character and an old fashion shower rose which makes showering a true pleasure. The open space dining area and lounge provides an ideal environment for chatting and relaxing.

The cottage has a reverse cycle air conditioner which provides heating and cooling when required. A Coonara wood heater located in the living area also provides heating on cold days and a cosy ambiance that only a natural wood fire can provide. They say a picture is worth one thousand words, so please have a look at the photos and see if this property is what you are looking for. Clean fresh bath-towels, soap, shampoo are also provided. In the kitchen you will find tea bags, plunger coffee for your use and convenience. There is a free-standing bungalow at the back of the property that can be used for reading and relaxing. Please note that there are no bathroom facilities in the bungalow. It is fitted with a double bed, couch, table and chairs. A bond of $500 is payable before the commencement of tenancy. Please note that the property does not have WIFI.

This is our second stay in Dom and Val’s lovely french provincial inspired cottage. The house has everything you need to have a very relaxed and comfortable stay. It also has easy access to both the ocean and bay beaches, and local shops. We will definitely return.

We loved the cottage and the garden. Everything is very pretty and heartwarming. The location is very convenient, close to shops and beaches. When the weather is very hot, it does tend to warm up in the bedrooms because the air conditioning is in the main area.

Bright and cheerful cottage in a great location. Access by car. Very well decorated and has a sense of yesteryear. Peaceful large garden complete with possums. Only thing I would change would be to update the mattresses. Great for families

Perfect Cottage

We fell in love with the cottage as soon as we walked in. It is simple, beachy and absolutely divine. The back beaches are spectacular and we enjoyed the front beaches, food and shopping at Sorrento/Blairgowrie. Most importantly it was the perfect place to read, relax and recharge. We thank Dom and Val for giving us the opportunity to share their home and hope to return next year.

The perfect place for a relaxing Winter break

As usual, Dom and Val presented their lovely house in a very clean and welcoming condition. It was comfortable, even in Winter, with a cosy wood fire, warm beds and throws for the chills. The neighbourhood is very quiet and offers manageable walks to both the front and back beaches. We will return. Thanks again Val and Dom!

Lovely seaside getaway

We had a wonderful stay in this cosy & beautifully decorated property. Dom was a perfect host & while the house amenities are basic as advertised, we had a comfortable stay with plenty of firewood for the coonara & nice hot showers. Kitchen was well stocked with all the little extras you’d rather not bring (coffee, oil, etc.). We’d highly recommend it.

Cosy cottage

We had a wonderful Easter break at this quiet cottage, tucked away in amongst ti-trees with a garden and wide verandah. The home is well kitted out and perfect for a couple of adults and kids. Dom, the host was a delight to liaise with at all times. We would definitely stay again.

Why they chose this property

Our cottage was one of the first built in Blairgowrie and still maintains much of its period character. We love the way it is secluded and elevated which enables us to enjoy the cool sea breezes in privacy.
