Duck R Way ligger i en stille blind vej i hjertet af den charmerende landsby Duck. Poteskeet har en privat strand adgang og er bekvemt placeret tæt på Downtown Duck og Duck Town Park. Enjoyed stay but wish details would’ve been more clear

The location of this home is perfect between the beach and short walk to Duck. The house was clean and great. One big downfall that we didn’t feel was clearly noted in the description of the property was the full bathrooms. Yes there are 3 full baths. There are 2 full baths in the home, however what we didn’t see listed is the 3rd full bath is outside, down the steps and through the gate of the pool. This bathroom is a full bath but also no air, so it’s an uncomfortable sauna to shower in. We had 3 families stay in this home and one family had to occupy that outside bath. I do wish it was more clearly noted as that would have affected our decision process. To us it was more like 2 full baths and a bonus outdoor bathroom.

Family Time in Outer Banks

Duck R Way was the perfect vacation home for our multi-generational family of 11. The location was great for walking to the beach or to the local stores and restaurants. The pool was great for the young grandchildren to swim as the ocean was a bit too rough for them. The adults enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a day on the beach and the new decking was wonderful. Having a full bathroom and a kitchen area by pool was so convenient, especially with small children. Inside the house, the layout worked perfect for our family. The large table allowed us all to eat together and was a great place for afternoon crafts with the grandkids and family games in the evenings. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and dishes for our whole group. The bedrooms were good sizes. Only issues we had was having one bathroom for 4 bedrooms to share on the middle level (some of our group took showers in bathroom by pool) and beds in room with twin beds were a bit uncomfortable. Overall, we highly recommend this house for families looking for a perfect location spot in the Outer Banks.

Nice House

Loved the pool area. Everything you need to stay all day! House is very clean and updated. I have no complaints or suggestions to make it better. That is how much we enjoyed our stay. Very short walk to the beach. Shops and restaurants are close by.

Although I'm glad we brought our own beach chairs, because although the description said they were provided at the house, we did not find any. The pool water was nice and clear, although it didn't appear that it was vacuumed before we arrived. beautiful new decking everywhere except the pool area which is in need of replacing. Nice location and the walk to the beach wasn't bad. I was surprised how narrow the available beach space was. Not much room for people and we weren't even there during peak season! I realize there's nothing anyone can do about that but just thought I'd mention it. It's a short walk to to town for shopping, eating or taking a nice walk on the boardwalk. Overall, really enjoyed our time and stay at the Duck R Way! I would stay here again!

Perfect Location and a Great House

It was as good as hoped for exceeding my expectations from the photos and description. The only thing you should be aware if is that there is only streaming TV --- Roku and Hulu with Netflix...No cable and that was foreign to us ....we adjusted . Location in the ❤ of Duck is perfect. A short walk to everything Duck 8ffers --- and just 2 blocks walk to the beach.

Decline in quality of Home

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we loved the home, and this was our second season in a row. The home provided for most of our needs with a reasonable and competitive price. On the downside, our list of areas that needed attention, were not addressed nor attended to. The home did receive a fresh coat of outside paint which looked good, but the dollars invested should have been made to the dangerous nails and splintering deck in the pool area. The home was looking tired in many areas. The pool deck, toilets loose with sewar odors and a grill that did not work. All of these items were pointed out last year and despite a request for the grill and the toilets to be repaired during our stay this year, there was NO response. In addition, one of the burners on the stove was not working. In spite of the problems, we loved the location and decided to rent next year. We were very surprised at the large increase of 27% in the rental fee and being charged for linens instead of them being included in the house fee the past two seasons. In addition, the processing fee increase by 35%. Not a good feeling with the service received. Our phone calls and emails to the realtor took a long time to be returned and addressed, which did not encourage us to believe that the house would be any better next year. To complete our frustration and disappointment, we should have also received a %5 discount for our second time and did not receive that value this year until it was pointed out. Beach Realty was diligent in pestering for us to sign for next year but took a long time to return calls to address our issues. In short, not a very good experience and the value, condition and service simply does not support the increases.

Wonderful Beach Spot

We absolutely loved this property. The expansive pool deck, including a hot tub, kitchenette, and full bathroom, was amazing. The house was cozy and PERFECTLY located between the beach and downtown Duck. Can't wait to stay here again.

The pool was absolutely pristine and the house was very well kept. Would definitely stay again!! Fabulous family trip

We had a wonderful stay at Duck R Way! The home was lovely and comfortable for our family of 8. There were lots of little things that were thoughtful at this house. Baby gate, highchair, movies, a Playstation, and games. The kitchen was well stocked. I would have appreciated plastic dishes for pool side. There was no toilet paper or soap when we arrived - made it difficult with small kids before we had time to unpack. The pool area was great. We appreciated the bathroom right there and a freezer for popsicles! We had several meals poolside. The beach and downtown Duck were convenient walks even with small kids. We were able to walk to the park and for ice cream easily! My only concern was the handrail on the stairs was very small and made it difficult for a senior family member. several of the carpet grips on the stairs were not attached also. We had a wonderful vacation here and would definitely recommend!

Family Time

Spacious home; well stocked kitchen with dishes, pots, pans, appliances but absolutely no food such as salt/pepper, etc (likely because of COVID). Great location!!! Great pool with awesome bathroom and kitchen poolside to minimize in/out of house. Carpeting and furniture is soiled but really a small criticism compared to the overall offerings of this home. Great family time inside and out...wonderful porches...close enough to hear the waves break on the shore...lots of space to spread out!!!

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: we love this property but we do not love the service. Last year we had a debacle where we did not get into the property until gone 8 pm. This year we had early check in but again it was late. Worse still was that even in the times of Covid the fridge was dirty as was the toilet and fridge by the pool. Marks of food smearing on tables and even the sofa. we did write a complaint previously but nobody responded.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time traveling to the OBX with our 2 very young children and thank goodness we chose this home. The location, close to the beach and downtown Duck, is super convenient especially when you are moving around a lot to keep the kids entertained. The pool area is absolutely fantastic and was our savior this hot week! The kids didn't tolerate the beach all that well so we spent a TON of time hanging out by the pool. The kitchenette and bathroom by the pool are awesome!!The house is decent enough, the top floor living area was good for our family although the galley kitchen was annoyingly tight. This is obvious from the pictures so you know this going into it. The bedrooms are decent size and the beds are very comfortable. The master bath is...interesting. It is very tight and if you are claustrophobic you will be uncomfortable. Also, the step into the tub is very high and if you have mobility issues you may have problems. The rest of the bathrooms are fine. The property was in very nice shape when we arrived though some of our party complained that the downstairs bathroom was dirty.

Location was great - 3 or 4 minute walk to the beach was super convenient. You're a short walk to lots of shops and restaurants too, if you're lucky enough to go during non-COVID19 times. The pool set up was great as well. The master bath is a little tight and awkward, but who cares. Great place, we all agreed we'd stay there again.

Reviewer Comments: I have been going to OBX for many years but the house was not in good condition, the carpet was dirty,I called house keeping and in my week staying there never follow up on it. The house had a gas grill but with no gas and no refill on it i called after hours office and left message never got call back to say they were going to re place it, the hot tub was extremely hot that you were not able to get in it. Of all my experense of house keeping this was the worst. I love obx and the house was not far from beach the kitchen had alot of applance. The only concern was house keeping.
