The room was clean, ac worked great and the manager was there when I arrived. Close to many restaurants and bars, albeit the island is small. Had 1 query and the host responded immediately. Would stay again

The cabana was clean and adorable, spacious for us. The property was beautiful and comfortable. The hosts were very helpful at check-in giving us directions and locations to things. We rode the bicycles provided almost daily-except for the couple of days of hard rain!Everything about our trip was perfect. Thank you Ben and Aria!

Cute beautiful little property. The property manager was very nice and took care of all of our needs. She even provided raincoats for us one day on a particularly rainy day. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful time staying here, and Ben was such a kind host. We never asked for much, but Gumbo Limbo outperformed our expectations. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Caye Caulker.

Charming art-filled cabana

We loved staying here in spacious cabana in quiet neighborhood near restaurants and shops. We had everything we needed here and appreciated having a peaceful cool oasis we could return to after a day of activities. Whenever we needed anything Ben was quick to respond and help. We’ll always remember this one of a kind home away from home.

Fantastic location for a relaxing vacation.

Good location away from the crowded areas of Caye Caulker, but still close enough to walk to anything. The cabana was furnished with everything we needed, good use of space. Comfortable bed, plentiful hot water in the shower. Close proximity to the ocean, and access to the chairs on the beach was very nice. Lovely deck for relaxing with coffee or a Belikin. Bicycles included were also a great perk. Very friendly and responsive hosts! Would definitely stay here again.

Great isolated spot from the city.

What a great property. Comfortable. Easy to get to thanks to the owners. If you’re planning on staying on the property, this is a great spot. Not too much to explore outside this area without some decent travel time. Just a consideration. Otherwise, the property was great. Mostly quiet.

Great place to stay.

This accommodation is in a nice quiet location, but with easy access to island activities and restaurants. Decent bikes are provided and this a great way to move around this charming island. Ben and Aria are friendly, helpful hosts.

A few days to unwind

We spent a week on Ambergris and didn't want to leave Belize yet so we added three days to our stay on Caye Caulker. Our Art Cabana was perfect for us super clean, close to the beach and airport. Just great!

The cabana was very clean and well equipped for our stay. It is located inside a fenced in area just off the beach. We loved the seclusion and relaxed feel. I would definitely stay there again.

The Perfect Experience in Caye Caulker

This little compound of homes offers peace, privacy, a truly authentic experience. Simplicity abounds! You have absolutely everything you could need in a safe and abundant environment. The hosts are incredible and are available if needed. This is our second time visiting Gumbo Limbo and it will remain, forever in our hearts.

Wonderful art-filled Cabana for 2 on Caye Caulker, Belize

We spent our first week in Belize in this delightful Cabana in a quiet neighborhood that's close to everything there is to see and do on the island. WE rode the two bikes that were included in the rental to delicious breakfast cafes in the morning and we walked to some of the best restaurants on the island for dinners in the evenings. Everything you need is close by, and you feel like you're part of a tropical Caribbean island paradise.

A perfect home base

Gumbo Limbo is the perfect home base for your stay on Caye Caulker. It's located walking distance to anywhere you wanna go, but is far enough away from the main drag to enjoy some peace and quiet. Ben is a very welcoming host, who will offer good recommendations and small talk, but gives you lots of space and quiet to enjoy your stay. The AC works great, which is a huge benefit in the heat and humidity, the bed is comfortable, and the place generally had nice simple vibes. Finally, the pooches are incredibly friendly and love to make new friends, which as a dog person really adds a lot to the whole stay. From nice bikes to new split unit ACs to a direct path to the ocean, it's clear Ben and Aria put a lot of energy into keeping their place updated and accommodating to their guests. Highly recommend Gumbo Limbo, it's everything you need, nothing you don't, all wrapped up in a cute little plot with sweet cabanas, nice plants, and outdoor lounging just steps from the ocean.

We enjoyed our stay at Gumbo Limbo very much. It was the quiet,peaceful setting that we were looking for. All of the amenities we required were a short bike ride or walk away. We used the free bikes extensively, and enjoyed riding around the small cay. Our only comment would be that the bikes weren't in the best condition, one of them had the chain come off one evening when were coming home, but we were able to fix it and continue. Ben and Aria, as well as Tito and Shadow were fantastic hosts!

We will make your stay as amazing as we can!

We live on the Gumbo Limbo Property and we can either be available for a cocktail and a chat, or you will hardly see us at all – up to your preference.

However, we will always be available for questions and to attend to your needs.

We have 2 dogs on the property. A 7-year old Old English Sheepdog mix named Shadow (aka Fuzzy Butt), and Tito (aka "Dumbo Limbo") our 4-months old "Belizean Potlicker". If you like dogs, you will love those two fuzzies!
